But Elijah, Benji, Peach, Beck, Hugo and Edward didn't. And he killed them not dissociating and with full information about what he was doing. So we should be focusing on those.

[deleted]

Peach was actually crazy. She’s not one to be mourned.

SpaghettiOnTuesday

She sucked, but was an innocent person who was a victim of Joe's obsession.

[deleted]

If you think taking upskirt photos, spying on and masturbating to someone without their consent is “innocent” then you are a creep too.

oluvu

She masturbated to beck? I almost choked

[deleted]

Yeah when she was watching beck in the bathroom and Joe was watching her watch beck lol

oluvu

But that’s not masturbating.. I do remember her stalking beck so obsessively but I don’t remember her jerking off to her

SpaghettiOnTuesday

Yeah didn't think about all that. Based.

[deleted]

Innocent definitely not.

SpaghettiOnTuesday

Morally no.

PersonWhoLikes2

I wouldn't say innocent but she was a victim, yes.

SpaghettiOnTuesday

Yeah fair

Acrobatic-Ad4000

peach was nowhere as bad as joe, she never wouldve killed beck and at least she was rich unlike a bookstore owner lol

PersonWhoLikes2

Classist shit.

Acrobatic-Ad4000

when talking about a murderer yes

Acrobatic-Ad4000

no one likes broke men

nicodiangelo335

Benji and peach deserved it. Did you forget that Benji was a murderer? Or that beach was a manipulative toxic stalker?

PersonWhoLikes2

Peach was horrible but her faults weren't warranting of a death sentence. Benji killed unintentionally. So while he deserved to be punished, a death sentence for him is too much.

BearOnTwinkViolence

This is exactly what OP is talking about. The victims being unsympathetic makes the viewer start to bend over backwards to justify murder.

FellowTraveller7

I agree. He acts like a vigilante one minute, and then the next he's killing innocent people and framing others for murder. He's so insane.

milksheikhiee

He's never needed a good reason to kill people, he just likes to kill them. The inner monologue becomes self-righteous when his desire to kill coincides with some moral excuse to kill, but it's all ad hoc justification all the time with him. Convincing himself he had to kill people to protect himself or others from situations he created and trapped them in, then acting high and mighty for "doing the right thing". And then when he sees an opportunity to kill someone with an even easier excuse (like Ron or Henderson especially), he conveniently forgets his own crimes give him no right to punish them.

Kataratz

He ain't a psychopath but yeah I see how S2 was almost giving us a redemption arc lmfao I loved it

[deleted]

Alot of people would strongly disagree

usable_dinosaur

A lot of people don't know what psychopath means

[deleted]

It’s obviously a word for crazy deranged lunatic.

ProfessionalNo1113

That’s the thing! The writers did an amazing job of trying to make joe redeemable and irredeemable. I think the writers also kinda wanted to make him a little more well rounded so the audience that hates joe can find a reason or two to still like him and semi relate to joe (I’ve met people who actually relate to Joe😟😟 like deadass, it’s weird) and also potentially gaining a new audience of Joe lovers🤣
