Here's the neat trick. No where in my country has mags in stock and importing them isn't an option.
I'm going to commit heresy and get a HPA adapter with some stubby mp5k mags.
One thing I remember is Gen 1s had plastic barrel and threading where the muzzle break is screwed on. Unfortunately you can only tell that if you unscrew the muzzle break which, if glued on too tight, risks snapping the threading when you try to unscrew it. I’d suggest boiling / steaming the threads for a bit to soften up the glue and unscrew it very carefully if that’s the route you choose to go.
The version 2 is a bit heavier ~50g because of the steel flash huder mount. The whole barrel isnt made of steel just the front where the flashider is mounted. V2 has also a bit optimized nozzle which makes the thing a VERY small bit snappier.
The rush is real. Live at 8pm, order placed 8:02.
One of the guys in my group wanted a P90 that went up with this but it was gone when he tried to place the order after looking through all the other items.
Wrong. Easiest way to differentiate between gen 1 and gen 2 is the barrel. Gem 1 is polimer while gen 2 is metal.
Source: I own a black gen 2 with foldable grip
I think you might be thinking about A1 and A2. Most of the reviews I found about gen 2s were the MP7A1 with the folding grip and some A2s with the railed front.
The Gen 2 has a better gas system. If you look into the magport you will see that the gasport is splitted into two chambers. Gives you better gas efficiency.
As many users have mentioned the quickest way is to see if your outer barrel is metal or plastic (metal for gen2).
Owning both here is the list of deltas:
- metal barrel for G2, plastic for G1
- nozzle part that meets with the bucking has a small indentation on the lower front part and it’s slightly longer. Also gas routing has a middle plastic separator front to back and has ports for the O-ring
- hop up chamber is 2 parts now, with feeding ramp being plastic instead of metal
- gas routing gasket on mag is different as well as the seating part on the mag. So yes the mags are slightly different.
- obviously outer barrel being metal, the inner shell of G2 is different.
I think that’s it, if I forgot something I’ll edit my comment.
Keep in mind that you need a 12mm cw to 14mm ccw thread if you want to use standard 14mm ccw silencers. Where i live no shop sells these so i ordered one from china... ive been waiting for 3 weeks now 😅
Are these sought after. I've had one for years that I got off a trade when I was 17(I'm 28 now) it's just sitting and the mags are all oxidized now but I had the barrel extension and cqb bolt added.
Yeah she’s a beast, personally i have the navy one and just installed a folding grip on it. It’s awesome, but the mags. They suck. Always baseplates breaking, and THEYRE $75 😭
I own a GBB MP7. Typically what helps me buying mags is that I will not buy all of the mags I need in one big sitting. I'll buy 1 or 2 per paycheck. It sucks waiting but it also doesn't break the bank too hard.
A couple of months ago I was (impulsively) thinking about getting a mp7 to customize it to make it hpa with a drum mag. Thank god my scorpion evo’s mosfet broke and forgot about this very dumb idea
If it makes you feel better the MPX is looking tempting.
Sick gun though, someone let me try a hpa tapped (drum mag) one for a few shots and it felt pleasant to shoot.
The gun itself isnt the problem. The mags will create some nasty headache. They are 80€ a piece here in Europe. I had to deal with it myself because im a proud Mp7 GBB owner since 2 months. Absolutely love this thing and everyone arround who hears it.
not the weapon, but the mag's!
I was just about to say "get ready to impulse buy 8 mags to make this gun usable"

honestly that the only time i support HPA lol
I just bought a VFC MP7 myself. The shop i got It from in germany has the mags.
For 60€ a piece...
70* As GBBRs go that's not too bad honestly.
I think they are so overpriced, but i need more
That's terrible WE 5.45, VFC V-MAGS etc... are like $55 USD with $8 USD shipping
Because this was a pure boneyard impulse buy does anyone know how to tell a Gen 1 from a Gen 2? The listing didn't mention anything.
No idea either but does it have a metal outer barrel? Seeing stuff that seems imply thats the main difference (and something to do with mags?)

I know where you bought it from...... ha!
That place in an addiction.
It is, the rush when it goes live and if you get it. Nearly everything I have is from there. I know the guy personally so it's cool

Gen 1 has plastic outer barrel and threading. Best way to tell

This why I use credit 😎 (I have crippling debt)
Well it's possible to actually build credit and be broke but NOT in crippling debt😎
The impulse buy won't bankrupt you, but the mags will! Welcome to the r/gasblowback club, excellent first choice

What will your next gun be? 😈
I also picked up a double bell m733 with this for another BHD build but that's a project for the summer.

I'm ordering some spares from Hong Kong and picking up a QD suppressor too. Hopefully I can fit a mini tracer in it when it arrives.

My problem is when I see things Ive been considering buying get low in stock, then I tell myself it's now or never haha
Link for a full metal one?
The real one is not even full métal so you will not find a full metal replica
I’m gonna get me one of these one day
Where did you buy that?
Okay I’m super jelly!!!
Yeah she’s a beast, personally i have the navy one and just installed a folding grip on it. It’s awesome, but the mags. They suck. Always baseplates breaking, and THEYRE $75 😭
Speaking of that, probably just gunna get the HPA drum mag for it.
On top of the 5 mags i already have
I feel ya, VFC416A5 GBBR owner here

Same lol just bought a kwa mp7
100% vibe
Good choice.

Bruh, I bought $2700 in airsoft HPA's last month (2. Fucking. Guns.)
A VFC Avalon Mk18 with F2 conversion and stainless barrel, hop, and bucking upgrades, and a 12 year old Classic Army M14 converted to HPA as well.
Yeah but look how nice it is bro.
Go big or go home.
I want the Aeg vs

Ive allways wanted one of these and to Hpa it I think it would be a vicious lil pew pew spitter
That's my plan. I can't find mags for a reasonable price so I'm going to pick up a HPA adapter.
That's a great plan amigo
