Sometimes I wonder if they know how insane they sound. Not that it would make any difference to them what heathens like me think, but this really does sound so utterly, utterly mad.
Short answer: they don't
Long answer: when you're *that* immersed in self-righteousness, you believe yourself to be the ideal form of a person (even if such form is faulty). To put it in layman's terms, your head's so far up yer arse that you can't see anything else
It is illegal to discriminate based on religious beliefs, anyone who applies and is not selected can claim discrimination and file a lawsuit. Damn it’s like free money
A construction church? I’ve heard of deconstructionist literature, reconstructionist Jews, strict constructionist judges…but never a construction Christian.
Why do people think that just because something is written on a legal paper, that it becomes true? You have to prove that's why you weren't selected. Good luck.
And unfortunately; there’s the rub. How can you prove you didn’t get the job for being non-religious? Unless you get an attorney to file a suit and subpoena everything, which costs a lot of money that you don’t have because you didn’t get the job lol
Be great opportunity to remind these people that Jesus was a socialist that washed prostitutes and hung out with the poor as well as his hatred for the temple (you don’t need a structure to worship God) and public prayer oh, and the environmentalism
Ah! Then no. It's bad enough when they worship profits. I can only imagine how evil it could get when they care about profits and somebody they call master or lord.
Because then we might see that it's a job posting taken from some church ministry that wants to hire someone who aligns with their beliefs, as they are allowed to do by law and then it's harder for it to be outrage bait.
If this is in the US...It's shitty but it's legal. Businesses that are owned by churches are allowed to religiously discriminate against employees and new hires, but only for the purpose of ensuring employees are under the religion.
If this construction company is not owned by an actual church? 100% illegal
I’m pretty sure that breaks equal opportunity employment laws as it discriminates based on religious belief, which is a protected characteristic. Unless the position is related to a religious organization, but since it is a construction role I doubt it.
I'm Catholic but we do not push our faith to anyone . Because it's going to annoy someone .
I only talk about it when someone asks , if nobody asks then I don't talk about it ....
( This kind of person just made the name of Christ bad ..)

These people are lunatics.

The loophole is, if the company calls itself a "ministry," they can pretty much do what they fuggin' well want.
Not if it is a church/ ministry.
Or religious school
Tbh, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this listing posted in this sub before as a jd for an IT admin at a Christian school?
A construction church? I’ve heard of deconstructionist literature, reconstructionist Jews, strict constructionist judges…but never a construction Christian.
I mean, I think there are quite a few churches who already go to Build-a-Bible, to customize their experience.
Not sure construction administration fits the bill, but yes otherwise you are correct. A nonprofit religious organization is exempt from
Sure, but half the country doesn't give a fuck and is embracing this madness.
Shit I’m gonna start a career in applying to jobs like this.

Is this job more about construction or faith??? Construction typically requires a lot less labor than what christians demand in their faith.
“I have believe that Jesus will hold up this load bearing wall”
It’s because Jesus was a carpenter, duh 🙄 /s
But Christians never ever push their beliefs on others right? I mean that’s what I’ve been told. /s
Be great opportunity to remind these people that Jesus was a socialist that washed prostitutes and hung out with the poor as well as his hatred for the temple (you don’t need a structure to worship God) and public prayer oh, and the environmentalism
I can fake that if the pay is good.
It never is at those companies.
And theyl ask for donations too 🤦♂️
All donations are going to the Lord. You won't need your money when you're raptured!
If there's a steady paycheck involved, I'll believe anything you say
"i lovvvce this toowwwwnnn"
Why did they list the job, was God not providing for them?! /s
How do these people get anything built with all that fuckin’ praying?!😂
One can multitask pray while working.

Man this was too funny.
I am not christ-centered. I'm more Star Wars centered. Does that count? It's equally make-believe.
The real question is are you on the same side of the force than the company is. Are they calling Jesus their master or their Lord Jesus?
Ah! Then no. It's bad enough when they worship profits. I can only imagine how evil it could get when they care about profits and somebody they call master or lord.
How is this even legal?
It's a public posting, why is the company name blacked out?
Because then we might see that it's a job posting taken from some church ministry that wants to hire someone who aligns with their beliefs, as they are allowed to do by law and then it's harder for it to be outrage bait.

Team trent all the way

tip toe tip toe,...it happens slowly, but it happens...we are heading for a very traumatic decade.
Tell me a company does fraud in a job posting
'Prayerfully'? Fuck is that word?
Yes it is.
I’m pretty sure that breaks equal opportunity employment laws as it discriminates based on religious belief, which is a protected characteristic. Unless the position is related to a religious organization, but since it is a construction role I doubt it.
How would Jesus hammer?
He probably nailed it first try.
Didn't the Bible say only hypocrites pray in public?
I guess cuz JAYZUS was a carpenter maybe?
*and only after these conditions are met, we release your paycheck.
Yeesh, do they want their potential hire to build an ark or something?
Do they also expect you to tithe to the job (which of course would be used for the Lord's work, right?).
Take the churches.
The Salvation Army job positions in Australia are a little like this. Just not as much on the nose as this one.
Seems like money does grow on trees.
"Builds stuff that doesn't fall down."
I’m pretty sure I saw this exact thing a couple of months ago except the listing was supposed to be for an IT admin at a Christian school …
I'm Catholic but we do not push our faith to anyone . Because it's going to annoy someone . I only talk about it when someone asks , if nobody asks then I don't talk about it .... ( This kind of person just made the name of Christ bad ..)
Jesus wasn't even a Christian he was a Jew who practiced Judean
This is a job at a church, no?
Its a construction company….
It says “seeks God’s will in their own lives and the ministry at”
That is most likely the construction company's name.
But it’s a ministry
Man they're gonna be real mad when they find out that lying is a thing.
Fuck Christianity
Religion is a mental disorder and has been a permanent handbrake on humanity.
