Actually thats what i do from time to time 🤣
Sometimes i just alight at random mrt stations and youd be surprised at what you can find there. *sometimes theres really nothing there.
But yes I agree! Sg fkin either hot or rain
I do it early in mornings or evenings when it’s more cooling. I got the Gardens By The Bay pass so I can walk in the daytime in the cool when I have time.
Park connectors are doing a lot for better SG mental and physical health.
We get used to them, but for city life (I’d honestly prefer quieter than city) — they’re literally a life saver and prolonged and improver.

Exercise. I can’t see myself skipping more than 2 workouts in a row and I tend to revenge workout when back from holiday or had to prioritize work/friends.
1. Youtube: WATOP, The Why Files, US sports highlights and broadcasts of old games, 80s music videos, knife and baseball card collecting videos.
2. Reading : For library digital books, I borrow and read using Libby app.
3. Looking at my collections
4. Listening to music
Takese at least 3 hours to wind down after work (I usually have calls in the evening), so these are essential.
Even without electronics, I can manage as I have lots of unread books and magazines at home.
Physical activity: walking, try for 5000-7500 steps. some reps using 4kg kettlebell.
Actually i have never tried clubbing and what not either 🤣 not my kinda vibe for now. Theres plenty of other ways to wind down that does not include alcohol!
I walk! I would alight 1 or 2 mrt stops away and walk home along the park connector while listening to true crime podcasts. Helps me to get my steps in and gives me some time to think about stuff or just zone out.
28F - my typical wind down activities are journalling, reading novels & manga, watching movies, lifting, boxing, pilates. used to game, crochet and knit but do those less frequently now as I don’t have enough time to juggle all 🥹

I live in the West, so sometimes the bus rides to town are quite the wind down - Either Bus 30 from Jurong Point, or 197 from Jurong East.
For bus 30, I'd alight usually at Vivo, because of Seah Im food centre or just walk around Vivo.
For 197 it's usually because it goes through the city via Spotiswoode Park (A lot of nice shophouses).
Once I'm in town I just like to walk around and reflect on life.
*There's a thread of people talking about their favorite bus rides. You should check that out.
mid 30s
go out w/ fiancé to paktor
run in town area w/ colleagues
read book (currently reading "Authentic")

if travelling for work, will book good dinners on nights w/o plans, particularly will look for places w/ live music
I love to swim, its so therapeutic being isolated from the world during that time. For after wrok though I usually game, play my bass guitar or watch youtube vids till I knock out
Gaming if i lazy to go out. Sometimes eat good food, or listen to music with my DAC and headphones (nothing fancy, im an audio noob). Sometimes shoot street photography. Gin & tonic, whiskey is also nice.
Mid/late 30s.
I wind down at the very end of the day before sleeping with audiobooks or podcasts, before that I Reddit usually.
For the rest of the time before that: I play with my pet (massive joy), work out (switch between high intensity and yoga), go for long walks to unwind or reflect on things. I also find doing dishes and cleaning very meditative so I do that sometimes.
I also try to travel every month or at least every 2 months. Just for a change in environment. My work is highly stressful and intense, though also high rewards, so my time feels extra compressed.
Home workouts, chores, lay on bed and sleep or browse social media, do online shopping, read ebooks on kindle, watch videos of food & travel vloggers, movie shorts or true crime commentaries
After a long day go back home bathe and Netflix or play games. Maybe drink some alcohol then sleep early.
After a long week just stay home and sleep or play game or watch shows. Too mentally tired to go out unless there’s gathering if not I’ll just sleep at home
I usually go into JB to do it.
Eat good food and massage always perks up my day.
I don't have a regular place in JB as I just go to where is near what i want to eat but I find sabah masseuse are usually decent.

Eat, sleep and mingle with the other teams - Phil Kheogan, the Amazing Race.
Jokes aside, literally that’s what most of us would do in a very simplified explanation 😁. And the other teams here could be house mates, friends, family or partners. Even speaking to your own conscience is technically your lifetime teammate too.
Applying mask would be good to wind down on long weekday but usually don't have capacity for that lol..
Find good food to look forward to eat on the weekends.

Student taking international exams this year :((, but I recently picked up longboarding again a year after my mum had signed us up for three lessons. Apart from that, I talk to my best friends, watch Netflix, take myself out to jalan-jalan in nice streets/places I've rarely been to, kayak, surf Reddit, watch YouTube, listen (and goofy-dance) to music, try out new sports and fall into random rabbit holes under the influences of r/todayilearned and my best guy friend.

Today i had my sunnys on and gazed at the noonday clouds. It was extra bonus to see all these cute chicks (animal ones ) and their mother hens so near me.
Gym, going to a cafe getting some good coffee and reading a book, going for long walks.
On days I'm too lazy to get out of the house, then I'd be scrolling through social media endlessly or watching Netflix/ YouTube.
Anything that doesn’t require me to leave my home. Gardening, baking, cooking, and the good old Netflix(Amazon Prime in my case) & Chill with some junk food.
Long day - Long hot showers - netflix till i fall asleeep Long week Quiet time, swimming
Me too
If Singapore's weather were better, I would love to take long walks with no destination or agenda. Be a tourist in my own country!
Actually thats what i do from time to time 🤣 Sometimes i just alight at random mrt stations and youd be surprised at what you can find there. *sometimes theres really nothing there. But yes I agree! Sg fkin either hot or rain
Still fine if you do the walks at night. I've walked all over the east with just a podcast on.
East side best side. I get what you mean, though I do like the charm of seeing places in the day time… but sometimes the sun is a no-go!
I do it early in mornings or evenings when it’s more cooling. I got the Gardens By The Bay pass so I can walk in the daytime in the cool when I have time.
Recent went to bugis with a camera, acted like tourist and take a bunch of photos w people in it. Feels like holidaying😂
All in the mind, but thats defintely one way of using placebo 🤣 Great idea
i do that too! especially arab area, carrying a camera, sure blends you into the environment.
