I love rubber ducks! Which reminds me, here at the coasts of the Baltic Sea we have a lot of different rubber ducks in all kinds of attires. They look really cute. You should visit sometime.
Rubber ducks are the best! I've got a drawer full of them (ok maybe just *part* of a drawer). Also, banana bread is epic and the mere mention of it can apparently distract me for a solid half hour
I love banana bread, did you know that it actually originated in America, even though many people seem to think it's originally from Africa. It is believed to have emerged around 1930. Which reminds me, Fanta actually originated from Germany around 10 years later.
Interesting. I never really thought about its origins, only its destination (my stomach). Which reminds me, if you go by cell count instead of mass, humans are actually mostly made of non-human bacteria

Sure, but meanings of words change. Just like the n-word used to be deragatory (and still is), but the group who it was used against adopted it and owned it. Words like autism only have power if you let them, but its not as simple as on an individual scale. If all people who are autism are proud of it, then it no longer becomes an insult, no matter what the word is derived from.

The term allistic for NTs is from the Greek αλλος (allos) meaning "other". Like how an alloy is a metal mixed with another metal. Αλλα (alla) also means like "otherwise" or "on the other hand" or "rather instead" in Ancient Greek writing. Which while I don't think has any connection to the Arabic "Allah" (even though it's pronounced the same) is still interesting since god is the ultimate "other" in a way.
But like knowing so much Greek stuff it's weird to consider NTs "other-ists" when they can seem so self focused to us (ego based communication) compared to logic/truth based communication, especially when we're the ones being called "self-ists".
But none of these terms are ideal. Even ADHD was named for how parents perceive the difficulties of their children rather than the experience of us ADHDers ourselves.
Now *that* said, I do like AuDHD in a way because Au is gold.
