To be fair, anyone who thinks that all of their uniforms have to actually be uniform was never in an actual military, or is an OCD driven idealist who will surely go mad.
My days of multicam uniform and UCP gear haunt me.
Thanks! And no This was a test scheme so I just pulled up a picture of multicam and matched the colours as closely as possible. But I do alot of modern military art so when it came to laying down paint it felt pretty familiar I just wish I made the pattern a bit smaller.
Thank you! So for the armour I want to paint it to match my dark angel army like they’re close allies who frequently fight together lol. But I’m not sure just yet!
The camo is on point. The one thing I always see often that bothers me with camo patterns on minis is the pattern continuing onto pockets when they're separate pieces of fabric from the rest of the pant.
Pattern looks great close up. how does it read on the table? it might not come across at tabletop viewing range with the pattern being so small but then again that is the point of camouflage
Personally, it looks pretty well executed. The question you need to ask yourself is, "Do I want to paint this pattern on 80-100 Guardsmen models?"
I thought that half way through the answer is definitely no but the end result would be cool haha
My army is full of squadrons with different patterns it’s cool imo I would never paint out all this stuff the same color it’s too boring

Oh yeah walk around any airbase and you’ll see a dozen different patterns and uniforms
I have been working on mine for 3 years. I have 6 squads done, working on my 7th. But i paint slow Your camo looks great btw
Welcome to the Multicam club brother.
Nice job! Doesn’t look half bad. Wanna try my hand on some DIGITAL camo, before realizing it would only work properly on vehicles…
Pattern looks great, don’t forget that piece of fabric between the chest plate and belt though
Phenomenal did you follow a online recipe?

Honestly I wouldn’t go smaller even though more realistic you need it to be larger for the eye on such a small mini
I love this. What are you planning on doing with the armor?

Post more once you've decided. I'm eager to see how it turns out!
I’ve always wanted to try multi-cam black on a mini….don’t give me ideas OP.
Multicam is the superior choice. It looks cool, nice job and good luck with the rest
Looks awesome. I have my specials forces in multi cam - old stormtrooper squad and a kasrkin squad. Then just plain for the regulars

Couldn't the pant have been died with Camo after the pockets were sewn onto the rest of the fabric?
That's not how textiles work. I mean, maybe once or twice or would be able to work but not in mass production
Wait! You mean the guard doesn't get haute couture tailored uniforms? 😂
Lol. With how much the imperium has at its disposal, there are probably at least a dozen planets who can afford that.

Uhm you’re gonna hate painting guard. Looks great though tbh
