Is the date a Thursday or Friday of a Federal Parliament sitting week? If so, there will be a lot of MPs, Senators, and their staff returning to their electorate for the weekend.
There's also only one direct flight per day.
Less people fly from CBR, so they have to charge more to make up the cost. I would have thought that would be obvious?
economics 101. supply and demand. economies of scale. etc etc. same reason its cheaper to fly to Singapore than it is to Kalgoorlie.
