Just a dude that walked all over town, had a weird gait, and always moved his arm with his thumb out, so it looked like he was trying to hitch a ride, but he wasn't. He died some time in the mid 90's. Now Columbia has the Columbia Bike Guy. He's got some mental health issues but seems mostly harmless.

But it was just too desperate feeling in there, and it was all shelf staple items. He built that weird two story garage, and there may have been a boat.
