Expect higher prices and fewer varieties. 90-100% of this years grape buds were destroyed by a cold snap in January. That said, I’d recommend going to the District Wine Village north of Oliver. You’ll find plenty of options there! I’d also recommend checking out Black Hills and Tinhorn Creek, both in Oliver.

Another vote for Tin Horn from me

Wine district is awesome.

The grapes were devastated. Also, be prepared for Napa Valley prices, for average wine. You'll pay $10 just to taste...some MIGHT wave it if you buy one of their $30 bottles of wine. Its gotten ridiculous here. As a local I've seen wine almost double in price...with only a small handful of them worthy of that.

It won't be your usual trip through the wine country. Huge numbers of vineyards have been devastated and are just vine stumps with no foliage or grapes growing.

Nomad Cider, Summerland Heritage Cider, and Millionaires Row cider in Summerland, plus Red Roof Cider at Orchard Hills near Osoyoos are my favourites when it comes to cider. Tinhorn Creek used to be one of my favourites but it was bought by the Pellers in 2017 and now it just tastes the same as any other wineries they own. I’d recommend Gehringer Brothers south of Oliver, Lang near Naramata, Sage Hills in Summerland. and See Ya Later near OK Falls. Blasted Church had a neat story but I haven’t tried them in years. Church and State had funny labels, but they were bought by a big conglomerate too, and now they’re bland. Also, quick shout out for Summerland Sweets (fruit syrups & preserves in Summerland) and Tickleberries (ice cream in OK Falls)

It may be a bit far but Twisted Hills cider in Cawston is excellent.

Campandfish1

Second this. We stop there whenever we go down the #3.

My normal crawl includes Silver Sage, Howling Moon Ciderry, and Oliver Twist. Adega can be nice too but I found the vibe a little cooler than others

The wine industry in the Okanagam is in a state of flux, but you'll find more cider than ever. Many wineries have added cider to their product line. One of the newest stars is Lasser Farm in Keremeos (Lass Chance Cider). Keremeos is stunning and well worth the detour!

Israfel_Rayne

It's only a little bit south of Naramata but check out Code Winery. Very young/new so there's no swanky tasting room yet. Just a dining table in a garage but the wine was great. For more well established near Okanagon Falls there's Noble Ridge Winery. They have a really good chardonnay.

housebrokenhoogy1

Cambian if you're going as far north as Vernon

Due-Satisfaction1920

Howling Moon cider!! They have a ton of unique flavours

Domovie1

Yeah, they’re great. Swing by during the heat last summer, and the little water misters they had were wonderful.
