I did. Chaos at times but ultimately no regrets
We rescued another black cat yesterday (unsure if we'll keep him or find another loving home for him), so now we have 3 black cats, and 1 tabby, and our tabby is 100% the most chaotic of the bunch.

My parents have like 5 feral cats that live in their barn. They got animal patrol to come tnr them to stop the additional litters. One was adopted by them when it was left on the side of their house as a kitten (really tiny) and she now plays with her siblings through the window. She has a sister my mom calls Lily from the litter before her who looks like her twin who is very curious on coming inside but still won’t.
I have 7 cats, with 4 being kittens and 1 is a 3 yr old siamese with HIGH energy. It's awesome when they have zoomies. The youngest kitten came from a different litter, but I think shares the same mom as others. Him and the 3 yr old teen, shared a toy together yesterday and then harassed the oldest cat (leader/everyone's mom). One of the girl kittens is a mommy's girl and tried to save her, but her siblings eventually convinced her to join the dark side.
For more context, these cats have about 6 acres of land to roam. I hear they also get in trouble with the chickens and ducks my parents also take care of. They would be let inside, but unfortunately, my parents already have 2 cats there (Neko and Echo). And when my brother found these 4, my older sister was living at home with her 2 cats.
During cold times, they're let into the basement while it's still being redone (Neko and Echo aren't allowed there). They also wander my dad's workshop and make sure he's doing good work on his cars and stuff for the house.
You know, I'm not of the belief that cats should be indoor/outdoor for the most part, but I can tell from the pics that these little guys are well loved and cared for, and at the end of the day, it's really what matters. And who knows? Maybe some day Neko and Echo will finally make some friends. 😁
Me too, I have relatives I don't associate with anymore that live on a small farm, but the front of the house is near a busy road. Every dog or cat they take in usually ends up getting hit by a car or killed by a coyote.
However, I once lived on about 5 acres in a more remote area with ounext-dooror neighbors also being animal lovers. We had rescued 3 kittens, and the boy one was extremely intelligent (we had great Pyrenees herding dogs, so I think he learned from their behavior). Every night would round up his siblings to go inside the house and help herd the chickens into their coup. After loosing the house, we made him an indoor only cat in the suburbs, and if he escaped, he would come back before dark.
One time, my mom thought he was gone for good after tearing through window screen, but the plumber asked, "Is that your cat on the front lawn? He's really cool he let me pet him and everything. " and my mom ran outside and yelled,"You little mf!" And he just waltz right back into the house after she tried to pick him up.
They should try to see if they can get along with Neko and Echo. It's best to do it as kittens, so the older two can be the bosses, before the lil ones get set in their ways.
Oh my goodness. I just have to tell you that my uncle Alfred, who died in 2016, once had a calico street cat named Cali. He would call her "Kitty Kitty Cali". Thank you so much for reminding me of them. 🤎🖤🩶🤍

They look almost like my 4 little nuggets (littermates as well)
Does that goober like to lay in the litterbox?? I guess if they live outside they probably potty outside and maybe don't really "get" what the litter is for
We have a barn cat that has indoor access as much as he likes. He knows perfectly well what the litter box is used for and never had an "accident" in the house. However, he just prefers to do his business outside. Even if that means getting up, walking downstairs and through the entire house to leave through the cat door in the basement to go outside. 😁 Cats are such characters, I love him!
Pics 5 & 6 are genuinely hilarious. Little troublemakers are having the time of their lives. I love them clambering over each other to reach some nonexistent goal.
“Let me by!”
“nnnnnNO!”
Those are some happy and well cared for barn cats! Thank you for actually helping them! I've seen far too many times where people have gotten barn cats and just let them fend for themselves. You are doing barn cats correctly! They look super healthy.
I found 4 kittens once and a farmer wanted them as barn cats. He was visiting with them and one was just the friendliest little thing so he's telling the kitten as he holds him "you're not going to the barn". It was so sweet, he was an older guy and just fell in love with them. I don't think any of them made it to the barn.
This 4-pack of Meers is super cute! Also the pics of them being spider kittehhzz climbing screens is really reminiscent of being a kid and having kittens do this . Enjoy that cat distribution system! Woohoo!!! 🎉
I don't like cats being outside due to people in rural areas with BB guns or worse, and predators. However last year, my family rescued 4 kittens as well, so now we have 7 in total. And it's been so fun, they get zoomies together and we'll have 4-6 run down the hallway to chase the laser dot XD.

Hello, when I was out running I found this beautiful baby, what name should we give him???
Adopting kittens in pairs is a must for me personally, but damn now I kind of want to adopt a whole litter some day just for maximum chaos.
https://preview.redd.it/4epbv85kumtc1.jpeg?width=835&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=69185a306bc416f5bb92c04c088e3ceddb8a12ec I did. Chaos at times but ultimately no regrets
Oooo those babies look so mischievous…give them a treat
The tabby is 100% the ring leader

Or the tabby is either saying, "Don't F with me or I'll Sic 'em on you" or he's saying "I wanted no part in this, but they forced me, help...."

🫨 how much cat litter do you scoop up every day? :D
So much. I scoop twice a day.
I spend a lot of time in Greece and seeing whole litters growing up together and interacting so amazing
I once had three kittens just walk into the house like they owned the place and immediately adopted my mom and I.

They look like a pack of terrorists! Climbing up all the windows is hilariously naughty
I did bust out laughing when I saw that
"If we destroy the flyscreens we can also hunt and cause more havoc inside"
Damn thats a true story 4 sho!

Yeah soz all i’m hearing is that these babbies were rescued & now they’re being taken care of. ❤️

Did they get them spayed?
Yep!
Lucky cats!
I want them to adopt me too!!
They should try to see if they can get along with Neko and Echo. It's best to do it as kittens, so the older two can be the bosses, before the lil ones get set in their ways.
I love the personalities….and you can see that they are so loved and happy 😺❤️. Your parents are good people.
Mad respect to your awesome parents! The cats are adorable!
Awesome pawrents 😁

The pictures of them climbing up the screens are hilarious. That's exactly how I ended up with my cat. She fought her way into my house 😹
Best date ever! Tell your brother and parents they absolutely rock! I love the pics and how the kitties are doing so great.
Is the cat in the next to last picture rolling alligator style in the litter box?
Every litter has a derpiest kitten.
He was orange in another life and in his multiple lives, he’s never had a turn with the braincell. Bless his heart.
..so y'all live in a barn?..because that's where the cats appear to be..lol!.. ..no kidding, i ditto a prior poster saying "your folks did good"..
Actually those are spidercats. Very rare, extremely dangerously cute.
they all look so healthy and well loved!
You don’t keep cats, they keep you
Shout out to your parents! 👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Glad your parents kept them, they seem to be having the time of their lives.
Omg those 2 piebald tabbies are such trouble makers
Does that goober like to lay in the litterbox?? I guess if they live outside they probably potty outside and maybe don't really "get" what the litter is for

Thank you for showing this to us. It so warms my heart to see the life your parents have given to these beautiful felines.
Really nice pictures🐱🐱🐱🐱

Wonderful story and wonderful little fur terrorists!

An excellent, cute and youthful infestation
Happy babies!!
I envision an apple pie cooling on the windowsill.
I don’t have a windowsill so I placed the pie on a stool beside the screen door. Not the same, at all.
Awww…. They are truly living their best lives, aren’t they?? 🩷
Cats are the best and a fine addition to your family. Bless your brother's good heart. ![img](emote|t5_2qhta|8097)

They look like they want in from the barn and to have duck dinner!
This makes me so happy
Are they spiderman?
That shot of them climbing the windows!
Talk about living their best lives!
Awww the whole family gets to stay together:,)
Awwww. I hope they are all neutered so as not to make more problem kittens. They look happy and seem very people friendly and not "barn" cats.
Luckily, my dad makes sure they're socialized. They also all got neutered soon after adopting and are microchipped
Your Dad is the best! These cats are living the good life!
The shenanigans! These are amazing photos
Awwww, they look like such scamps!
I love them.
Oh lol crazy group :)))
So cute ! ...and the climbing up the window screens is so hilarious 😆. I once had a big yellow tabby who did the same thing.

This 4-pack of Meers is super cute! Also the pics of them being spider kittehhzz climbing screens is really reminiscent of being a kid and having kittens do this . Enjoy that cat distribution system! Woohoo!!! 🎉

The picture of the two cat in the window, hihi so cute

Well that's just a cuteness overload I especially love the picture of them climbing the tree.
lol the climbing!
Aww, they look so similar to my two sibling cats! They're a calico and a grey tabby with a lot of white as well.
I really, really, really enjoyed the kittens climbing on the screen pics!
They’ll sure have kept the vermin down.
