4- 4.5 mm for blanket, I changed size to match my wife's tension as my stitches tend to be a little too tight. 5 mm hook for rabbit, whatever the pattern recommended for body tho. As for skeins, I ordered too much. I think maybe 1 of both yellows, less than 1 of cream, 2-3 of each blue? That still may be too much but it's my best guess lol
Wow!! That’s a lot of yarn in 1 skein then😂 thank you so much for sharing though!! It really is beautiful and it’s so beautiful that’s it was a team project!!!♥️

That is the pattern for the sun and moon, star square is free from same artist on YouTube! It worked up pretty quick for me and was a delight to crochet
Thank you so much for sharing!
I saw a similar blanket on Pinterest a couple of days ago and immediately fell in love with the design! Was planning on looking for a pattern today, so seeing your post and this comment now is just perfect timing! 💛

That's the pattern I used for the sun and moon, and the same artist made a free tutorial on YouTube for the matching star pattern!
Oh please share the pattern for the bunny! I had a bunny just like this when I was a child and I lost her! I would love to make this! Please! It's so beautiful!
That is absolutely gorgeous! Just really stunning.
BTW I have no idea if you’re a parent or not, but a lot of people stick really closely to the rule of not having anything in the cot with baby until they’re a year old. I made a similar lovey and was a bit sad that it didn’t seem to be used. Then one year later I got a photo of him snuggling it and two years later it’s still his favourite thing to sleep with. So not immediate use doesn’t mean it’s not loved or appreciated!
Not a parent but am aware of nothing in crib, hoping they appreciate when they get a little older! Thanks for message, you are very thoughtful and I do think thats something that is easy to overlook of you don't have children! Also a very sweet, I can only hope lovey gets as much use 😊
Yep! The original post linked in first comment has the exact colors but [this is the link for the yarn](https://www.etsy.com/listing/677563963/83-color-kalors-dk-cotton-yarn-100g)
This is so pretty and It’s clear you put a lot of work and love into this. 💖 also the colors you chose for the sun, moon and stars pop against the ombré blue effect. Like they’re glowing
Thanks, I am obsessed with the colors! All credit goes to [this redditor](https://www.reddit.com/r/crochet/s/j0rdeCq3gA) , I saw this WIP on tumblr and had to make one, theybdid such a fantastic job!
Oh my GOD I love this so much. Your squares are so even and gorgeous, the colours are perfect and the LOVEY. Truly one of my favourite baby gifts I've ever ever seen, I am obsessed
It's a peg board that you pin your squares to to make them more uniform in shape. I bought a small cheap one off amazon and I think it made a big difference! You spritz them with water and then pin them up and it helps them have a more perfect shape! I have never blocked before this project but I think it does look more polished 😄
This looks amazing… Heck, if I had the money I’d probably want to try to order the adult size version of the blanket off you. Lol Saving this thread for one day when I can crochet better and have more time myself.
Thanks! I don't do commissions but pattern is listed underneath first comment! It's a lovely pattern and very easy to understand, I am had a lot of fun making it 😊
It's called a slip stitch join, there are a lot of how to videos on YouTube! I had never heard of it before but saw a video when looking at different kinds of joins and liked how it mimicked top stitching on lovey. It was a bit difficult to wrap my head around at first but once it clicked it was pretty fast going and I love end result!
Hmm, around 2-3 weeks? My wife and I crochet together though, she made the majority of sun and moons, I did lovey and stars, and then we connected it together together!
[I used this adorable bunny pattern](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1155822960/crochet-pattern-sleepy-bunny-lovey), added a star collar and some small moons and stars to bottom to make it match better! It's a wonderful pattern, easy to follow and I loved the end results! I had some troubles on face embroidery but that's on me, I just need to watch some videos on how to do it properly!
[Pattern isnin this reddit post](https://www.reddit.com/r/crochet/s/UsM4EqRvYf) with yarn colors and everything, loved this blanket I had to make my own! Just changed the join between squares and border!
Pro-tip: make 3 more of those lovies as backups. If the kid gets attached to it, they will want to carry it with them wherever they* go and it will get dirty or lost at some point.
Snap! I made this for my nephew, born last month :) ♡ Yours looks so lovely, I was gonna go with blues and yellows too but I'd seen someone do green/white/ rust red colour scheme on Reddit and knew my SIL would love it.
https://preview.redd.it/r1km2bfkhw3c1.jpeg?width=2084&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df1a99f27cc911c7711c1b76a0b5e58780871f8f
Omg I would never think to put those colors together but I love it, wow! The is such a good pick woth the green and white, thank you for sharing! I want to make one now lol
Its absolutely wonderfull! Could i ask for the pattern of the bunny? Id love to make one that matches the scarf im making with the sun and moon granny squares
Awesome work!
Are those things really called lovies though? I thought it was just the new parents I knew that came up with the name cause they were overly cutesy....I'm kinda weirded out that it's the official names for these things.
Thank you for sharing all of your secrets, this is such beautiful work, I instantly wanted to make the bun! Seriously, amazing work, I think I might try my hand. :D
I just watched Tangled and this reminds me so much of the scene when Rapunzel is laying on her bed and realizes she's seen that sun symbol before. Gorgeous work.

This is BEAUTIFUL!! It looks perfect 😍
Thank you I am very proud ☺️
It’s gorgeous!!! Which size hook did you use and do you remember how many skeins you used?

Maybe 3 of each blue, now I'm nervous I have miscalculated lol! The skeins were small but I was amazed at how little we used! And thanks 😊
I’d love to have this pattern to make before my granddaughter Luna is born Jan 15!! This would be perfect!

Thanks! I caved and bought a blocking board and I think that really made a difference on the squares
Whats a blocking board? o_O???
