I ordered some terminator pads from pop goes the monkey, I'll compare them to GW ones when I get home to see if there is size difference

Saucepan82

Related question; do you know if the pop goes dread pads work on the ballistus dread? They’re awesome for the redemptor and seem to be the same size. Was just wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to try ‘em out yet? (I’ll probably end up ordering a pair anyhow :) )

WildAce

No idea, first time ordering from there and only ordered terminator size stuff, and they arrived last night before I went to work so I didn't open the box yetto see how they look I'm at work for another hour or so still 😕

Saucepan82

Their stuff is great, I’ve ordered a ton of upgrades and I can highly recommend them. A bit pricey perhaps but we’ll worth it. In this hobby we’re already paying insane amounts for small pieces of plastics anyhow, what’s a few more bucks?

Wolfbible

If you're talking about their Atlas Pattern set for Redemptors, no, the shoulders don't even remotely fit the Ballistus model. You'll need to do lots of sanding/clipping to get them useable. The armor on the chest/shoulders will fit, but you're gonna need some greenstuff work to fill the gaps.

Saucepan82

nah, was more asking if anyone knew if there was any specific kits for the ballistus. ive got the redemptor kit already but the ballistus seems smaller. wasn’t really expecting anything this new out of pgtm as of yet, but figured I’d ask

WildAce

Ok so the pop goes the monkey ones look to be a ever so slightly bigger but the rounded inside part looks ever so slightly smaller like they might require. But more trimming to put on but would overall look slightly bigger on the shoulder.

Great, I ordered stuff from them before, but I think I'll just assemble them as is. I dont feel like waiting this time

Jofarin

Get a DW upgrade sprue, blue stuff and some milliput fine white. Make a mold off the deathwatch shoulder pads with the blue stuff, put a little milliput in and press it onto the normal pad. Isn't 100% perfect, but works quite well. It's also a lot cheaper and less work than buying upgrade sprues for everyone, especially ETB or already assembled second hand models.

AgilePotato1430

Thanks, but I'd rather pay the premium price to not make casts

Player_Dead

My plan was to shave them down and use a DW transfer but I'm keen to hear other people's ideas

AgilePotato1430

I think it's definitely ok with the non terminators to do that. The upscaling for them just makes the shoulderpads look small
