This needs to be included every time
Undertale does this exact same thing the second you reopen the game, I wanted to reset and do neutral, but felt really guilty, so I just did pacifist again. Maybe I should try hotline Miami next.
Same here… but I felt it was a good way to end the story, because it leaves room for interpretation. Chell made her “peace” with GLaDOS, she sent her away, and even gave back her old Companion Cube. What happens next? Does the Combine (if still on earth) get her? Does she make a new life for herself? Does Wheatley fall back to earth, and make amends with Chell (old fanfic reference) Did she die and go to Elysium? All up to your imagination.
Yeah I interpreted it as the game telling you that life moves on. Even without the player, time won't stop for them, life will just keep going whether you exist or not. It left me really heartbroken when that was the conclusion I reached in my own head, but even with that pain, I can't say I would've wanted the game to end any other way. It still is, to this day, my favorite ending to a game.
Other close contenders would be the main ending of Hollow Knight, the ending of the 1st Last of Us, the finale of FNAF Pizzeria Simulator, the ending to Little Nightmares BOTH 1 and 2, and definitely Bioshock
Edit: forgot to mention Omori. Very special game in my heart. I love the true ending so much

Here’s a photo of a dog with a hat and sunglasses to make you feel better
That fucking game >!was the first time I've ever felt betrayed by my best friend!<. Shit had us both speechless for half an hour. It legit took me a few days to get over it.
Don't read that spoiler if you don't already know what's under it, just convince your closest friend to play this fucking game with you so you can feel how I feel
I love the Epilogue a lot in that game, not because I played the first rdr (I only played it after rdr2), but because it was the only part I knew NOTHING about, so when I finished after Arthur dying, I was put into the epilogue thinking “there’s MORE??”
Sorry here’s a photo of a dog with a hat and sunglasses to make you feel better

I felt honestly depressed for like two days after Persona 3. Such a beautiful ending. I still cope and believe he will one day come back when Elizabeth completes her mission.
There is a sequel: higher difficulty
Once you beat Revengeance difficulty, then you can cry
Tears of joy for your victory, tears of pain for all the boss fights, tears of sadness for never being able to play again
Bro I S-ranked Revengeance a long time ago. The one thing I have found to bring me new joy is the Harder Bosses mod. Sam is now even more of a powerhouse
The game has one of the best shooting experiences ever just how the movement (especially on Zane) ties into the shooting is insane but yes missions are bland and the story doesn’t get better every time I play

Not the ending but the start of another chapter.
Destiny 2
*It didn't take long for Reach to fall; our enemy was ruthless. Efficient. But they weren't nearly fast enough... for you had already passed the torch. And because of you, we found Halo, unlocked its secrets, shattered our enemy's resolve. Our victory - your victory - was so close, I wish you could have lived to see it. But you belong to Reach; your body, your armor - all burned and turned to glass. Everything... except your courage. That, you gave to us. And with it, we can rebuild.*
My little 13 or 14 year old mind latched on to that phrase - *you belong to Reach.* It was the first game I truly felt 'in' with, like I knew what I was doing and had tapped into a talent. Before Reach I was largely bad at... a lot of things. I enjoyed them but I didn't get that big dopamine hit from being actually good at something, good enough to get fully immersed into it and just enjoy it for the experience.
It's been over a decade. I still belong to Reach. I always will. Reach is home.
Here's the ending to my favourite game...

Seeing this shit as a kid. The third game I ever played in my entire life was Halo: combat evolved. I fell in love with the series and played every game in the Master Chief collection, one of my favorite characters was Cortana. If it were for Halo infinite and people five this would still remain as the scene. I actually cried after the prologue ended. Partly because I genuinely thought that that was the end of the series. Nowadays when I look at this scene I don't cry, but I am reminded of when I did cry, when that was what I cried at. There is so much more to cry about now, that i don't think I can cry anymore
My first ending cry was with Battle block theatre when I was 9, godamn I was not ready for the sudden emotional gut-punch after beating the infuriating vault and saving hatty from the hat’s curse in the usually light hearted game… and as of now the most recent one at age 17 was after beating OMORI on the sunny route (the one I first chose), that game is still too recent to spoil without issue so I shall leave it as an “if you know you know”

Recently finished Witcher 3 and I somehow managed to get the worst ending on the main story, so I was sad for a completely different reason. In fact, I got a bad ending for the Blood & Wine DLC, too, which is really funny.

Only sad part about Metal Gear Rising and Devil May Cry 5's endings is that they are the endings of their respective franchises because Konami and Capcom have abandoned Metal Gear and Devil May Cry respectively
Idk about yall but I really like SS3's ending. World destroyed but our hero is still alive and a banger starts to play while looking last remaining pieces of the world .
Cyberpunk 2077 got me, double got me with the ending/s of Phantom Liberty and triple dog got me with the ending added by Phantom Liberty.
Can't remember the last time I felt physically sick and exhausted (*in a good way*) playing a game.
There were like four endings that hit me like a truck, I haven’t played most of these games but those four were like haymaker combos. Fuck man my day was already depressing.
only game i ever cried about was subnautica because i just sat down and played that game for a week and finally beating felt... real. like i accualy just escaped from an alied island. idk, i just got really invested into it
The ending I was saddest about was GTA V, my first introduction to the GTA series. I wanted the story to keep on going cause it was the most fun I have ever had playing a video game.
I was thinking about the Horizon games through this Zero Dawn's ending (Featured here) is awesome and triumphant, but Forbidden West's feels so bittersweet.
Minecraft's end poem aswell, god it makes me sob every time
The first ever game 8 little me beat for the first time without my brother helping me was Halo Reach, and that ending shocked me.
Today the last game I completed was Omori and I’m still being Shocked

Me and my brother played that and were >!legitimately arguing over which one of our characters should live, that game was so incredibly well written and the ending made both of us actually upset in a good way, either way you go with that ending it’s sad, I specifically got so emotionally attached to both those characters!<
I dont think I can expect it for anyone, but if anyone is willing, i need to know every game on here, I haven’t finished or played a single story on a game since BO2 in 2012. I need stories to play.
I need people to name off these games
Tears for these survivors, soldiers, warriors, assassins, detectives, heroes, villains, victims or monsters.
As we watched them spill Blood, sweat, and tears over friendship, brotherhood, family.
With the ending of one story sparking the beginning of another, as we continue to shed tears over these icons no matter how little they are known.

"I wish we could have met again under different circumstances."
What game is this?
Hotline Miami 2
If you try to replay the final mission "Apocalypse," you don't get the options "yes" or "no" to replay, you get "please stop"
Undertale does this exact same thing the second you reopen the game, I wanted to reset and do neutral, but felt really guilty, so I just did pacifist again. Maybe I should try hotline Miami next.

Not many games leave me speechless at the end. The outerwilds had me sitting at my monitor, processing it all.
Fr. This and the dlc hit me in the feels. Favorite game of all time
Outer wilds
Disappointed this wasn't in the video. But seeing this comment made me go "ain't this spoilers"
Not really spoilers unless you count a white circle in the middle of the screen one, you can’t make out anything from that
Still don't understand what made me cry but i did
The tragedy that is never being able to truly play the game again
just got it yesterday, everyone always says its the one game they wish they could play through blind again, so I'm genuinely excited
There are two types of people. Those who played Outer Wilds, and those who don't have Outer Wilds in their top 3.
The ending of portal 2 had me ugly crying because I knew it was never going to come back
Same for me with Half-Life. I knew about the "Half-Life 3" meme and I started crying knowing that I will never know how it ends.
This one hit me in the heart. Nearly forgot about this masterpiece.
What is it?
Oneshot
Thank you
Fuck yeah Scott Pilgrim and infamous mentioned!
...Time, Dr. Freeman? Is it really that tiiime again?
They really left us at another cliffhanger goddammit 😭😭
“Come on Gordon, we got work to do”
good ending.
Sometimes I see it and wonder if I'll get the good ending.😌 (not an innuendo)
Rdr2 was a masterpiece
I love the Epilogue a lot in that game, not because I played the first rdr (I only played it after rdr2), but because it was the only part I knew NOTHING about, so when I finished after Arthur dying, I was put into the epilogue thinking “there’s MORE??”
I don’t know if any game will ever be able to beat it tbh. It is one of the best games of all time.
Maybe gta6 who knows but I can’t imagine anything cooler than Rdr2
Not including any of the PMD games is criminal

Farewell Colonel Miller , rest easy now soldier
Amazing book and game series. Still pissed off about how you are supposed to eavesdrop on everyone to get the good endings though.
BT!!!!
I still get PTSD whenever I hear, "Trust Me"
Where Terraria.
wait it has an ending?
Beat moon lord, the credits is the end
oh sorry, my bad Calamity mod has gaslighted me to continue the journey to beat Elderitch gods, Genocide dude, Gaming Engineer, and depressed witch
Lol, I never got to Genocide. In a run with some friends rn but my best got me up to DoG I wanna say
Genocide dude hasnt been released yet
based calamity enjoyer (also there are rumours that there will be an ending cutscene after yharim so maybe)
Fucking persona 3 and far cry 3 got to me
I felt honestly depressed for like two days after Persona 3. Such a beautiful ending. I still cope and believe he will one day come back when Elizabeth completes her mission.
I literally cannot watch the cutscene or listen to the ending song without crying
The ending of hollow knight, ori 2 and final binding of Isaac cutscene made me cry, and these games are masterpieces
War....war never changes
“I got spurrs that jingle jangle jingle”
Bruh I just beat god of war valhalla like 15 minutes ago
I cried at the MGR:R ending because I knew that there’d never, ever be a sequel
There is a sequel: higher difficulty Once you beat Revengeance difficulty, then you can cry Tears of joy for your victory, tears of pain for all the boss fights, tears of sadness for never being able to play again
Bro I S-ranked Revengeance a long time ago. The one thing I have found to bring me new joy is the Harder Bosses mod. Sam is now even more of a powerhouse
Judging by your flair you should beat the game using only Bloodlust where possible
Bloodlust as in Ripper mode?
Sundowner's pincer blades
Ooh, dude I just had a brainfart right there. Only pincer sounds fun. I’ll try that
Don't forget Henry Stickmin
Get bl3 out of this shit (Not to trash talk the game, I love it, but that story was so bad)
I'm here to trash talk the game, it was hot garbage Fun hot garbage, but still hot garbage
The game has one of the best shooting experiences ever just how the movement (especially on Zane) ties into the shooting is insane but yes missions are bland and the story doesn’t get better every time I play
Armored Core's ending is borderline evangelion, what is going on

Recently finished Witcher 3 and I somehow managed to get the worst ending on the main story, so I was sad for a completely different reason. In fact, I got a bad ending for the Blood & Wine DLC, too, which is really funny.

I dont care what anyone says, last of us part 2s ending was fucking gut wrenchingly good
Only sad part about Metal Gear Rising and Devil May Cry 5's endings is that they are the endings of their respective franchises because Konami and Capcom have abandoned Metal Gear and Devil May Cry respectively
farcry3 ending had me feeling crazy empty
Idk about yall but I really like SS3's ending. World destroyed but our hero is still alive and a banger starts to play while looking last remaining pieces of the world .
When i finsished hl alyx i wasnt in tears, i was in shock
I might physically die during the end of deltarune chapter 7
I only played 6 of these but it still goes hard
Cyberpunk 2077 got me, double got me with the ending/s of Phantom Liberty and triple dog got me with the ending added by Phantom Liberty. Can't remember the last time I felt physically sick and exhausted (*in a good way*) playing a game.
There were like four endings that hit me like a truck, I haven’t played most of these games but those four were like haymaker combos. Fuck man my day was already depressing.
Xbc2
Clash: Artifacts of Chaos got me like this recently.
GTA, nier, lis, mgrr, a way out, and Yakuza detected. absolutely fucking based.
Yeah competitive games are alright but none of them will give you the feel you had playing a single player game for the first time
SPOILERS
Where is mass effect?
only game i ever cried about was subnautica because i just sat down and played that game for a week and finally beating felt... real. like i accualy just escaped from an alied island. idk, i just got really invested into it
Thanks for spoiling every game for us
had me until bl3 gameplay is good but damn did the story suck ass
The ending of a way out me and my freind had to deal with
Top ten try not to cry. Number ten:
No Doom wtf
The pain in my chest went from bad to worse
You put sea of stars but not chrono trigger? This is trash, try again
Yakuza!!!
The ending I was saddest about was GTA V, my first introduction to the GTA series. I wanted the story to keep on going cause it was the most fun I have ever had playing a video game.
Whats the song?
Hell yeah, Hitman 3 really was a great experience
:(
I can't cry with credits of my favorite game, I can see them wenever I want
EVERY DAY, I IMAGINE A FUTURE WHERE I CAN BE WITH YOU 🗣🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥

if it had little big planet i would have actually cried way to much
They should have added the ending to we happy few
I was thinking about the Horizon games through this Zero Dawn's ending (Featured here) is awesome and triumphant, but Forbidden West's feels so bittersweet. Minecraft's end poem aswell, god it makes me sob every time
And the universe said
I've only completed undertales pacifist route, because I feel obligated to let go, even though I'd love to play again.
eye sack
ARMOURED CORE MENTIONED ARGHRHHH WOF WOOF SHHJ J
The ending of Brothers: Tale of Two Sons is so emotional too, it hit because I played it with my twin bro...
Music good sir?
Metro Exodus.
War… war never changes…
The first ever game 8 little me beat for the first time without my brother helping me was Halo Reach, and that ending shocked me. Today the last game I completed was Omori and I’m still being Shocked
AC7 was had a great ending

Where’s Subnautica and Hollow Knight?
What is each game In order? I know a few like Celeste, Stray, A Way Out and Subnautica, but what is each one?
Me and my brother played that and were >!legitimately arguing over which one of our characters should live, that game was so incredibly well written and the ending made both of us actually upset in a good way, either way you go with that ending it’s sad, I specifically got so emotionally attached to both those characters!<

Man what the fuck I've only finished two of the games here and this is making me feel nostalgic
If you enjoy endings with strong feels, I recommend LISA: The Painful. The feels kicked my ass harder than any of the ones posted here.
Like a dragon mentioned!!!! u/savevideo
Cutscenes were the only good part of SMBF. It still makes me sad, but only because they absolutely fucking ruined the franchise
ok
The ending of all the BioShock games just had me sitting staring at my screen for a few minutes while I processed what happened
anyone know this song? also dying light was the game that made me tear up.
I dont think I can expect it for anyone, but if anyone is willing, i need to know every game on here, I haven’t finished or played a single story on a game since BO2 in 2012. I need stories to play. I need people to name off these games
Just know, someone watching this has seen every single one of these credits...

Oneshot (normal and spoilers:- >!SOLSTICE!<)
Inscryption should be in here as well.
can someone name all the games shown in the video?
The end of Guardian Tales chapter one was the only game that could bring me to tears
I played like 2 of these games. Yet i watched youtube so i know them enough to feel nostalgic. Is this real?
I fucking sobbed for half an hour after finishing Omori and had to take 2 days off of most media as a whole I was so devastated.
Ayo blasphemous 2 represent!
Titanfall 2 got me right in the feels because we all know EA will never approve production of Titanfall 3
I need that song
Some real bangers in here. Cyberpunk, New Vegas, Half Life Alyx, Left 4 Dead, Portal 2, RDR2, Titanfall 2, PVZ, Minecraft, Half Life 2. All bangers.
