L’Oréal True Match. I was super oily and live in a humid summer soup bowl and it has been my HG.

Usagithebruhmemr

thank yoouu

cinna-t0ast

I wear primer, powder, foundation, and then more setting powder on top. You can also try baking your face.

Usagithebruhmemr

ahh ive done all those things and theres little to no difference :( thanks anyways

jal_11_12

I love L'Oréal Infallible Pro Matte. I have oily skin and live in a humid climate, this is the one I always fall back on.

Lil_Odessa74

Revlon Colorstay was really great! I know it’s not drugstore, but I think it might be worth it to splurge on Estée Lauder Double Wear, which you can get at their outlets for 50% off. Totally worth it to spend the money on prestige for foundation.

Usagithebruhmemr

ahh, i really want to get it for special occasions. Everyone swears by it

Interesting_Soil_427

Double wear is the goat . I know Ulta has 20% off tomorrow. I would just go to a Macys counter get matched and ask for a sample. They will give you a little bottle that should last a week or so. Also make sure your moisturizer isn’t making you extra greasy. Try a gel moisturizer under makeup. Also Milani 2 n1 foundation. Or Revlon Color stay are good.

Usagithebruhmemr

tysm, next time i go to macys ill do that!

Feisty-Xennial

Have you tried the Rimmel Stay Matte foundation? I don’t have oily skin so I can’t speak from experience, but I know several ppl who have sworn by it over the years.

Usagithebruhmemr

No, ive never tried! ill check that out :D thanks for ur input

Shamazonian

I too, felt that Fit Me made me oilier. I find that the transfer resistant formulations worked better for my skin. Try the Superstay Liquid, Infalliable Fresh Wear 24hr Liquid, or (if you can find it) Revlon Colorstay.

Usagithebruhmemr

tysm, im glad i found someone like me LOL. ill def try those out since we're in the same boat

blackrayofsunshine

Anything Maybelline Fit isn’t going to work for super oily skin types because 1. It’s only buildable to medium coverage and 2. It’s not the best for stay-put long wear. Maybelline Stay Active is the one you lean towards. It’s thick/full coverage. L’Oréal’s infallible powder is full coverage powder foundation. But first, let’s break down your canvas. What is your skin care routine? Are you using any treatments like acne (benzoyl/salicylic acid), Micellar waters, cleansers, spf and moisturizer? Bases are important and it starts with skincare. What primer are you using before you apply your foundation? Are you using color correction or concealer? How are you setting your makeup or at all? Just powder or sprays? Are you applying with the correct makeup brush tools and are you cleaning them? These are things I ask my customers to get started to find a personal makeup touch. I’m a beauty consultant at a large drugstore so this is my bread and butter.

Usagithebruhmemr

my skin care routine currently i use the cerave foaming cleanser for normal to oily skin next, i use the niacinamide and zinc serum by the ordinary, then i use a a light moisturizer with ceramides. for primer, i have tried multiple but they have done nothing but make my makeup worse. ive tried the elf niacinamide power grip and the putty grip primer. as of late ive been using setting spray as a primer. i use the milani make it last matte before and after my makeup. i also use the wet n wild photofinish powder to set.

SinVerguenza04

When you find a matte foundation, try L’Oréal infallible matte primer. I’m not sure if it’s still in stores, but you can find it on Amazon. For whatever reason, it’s sometimes more expensive than others. I’ve paid as much as $17 for it there, and other times $8. Anyways, my go-to foundation is water based, so I’ve since stopped using it, but it’s by far the best primer I have ever used.

vy-neru

I’ve tried FitMe and it’s a hit or miss. What ACTUALLY worked on keeping my oily ass skin matte was: a shitload of setting + finishing powder. I’m partial to the Milani Setting Spray. The Jumbo size bottles are usually $12, at least, that was the price last I bought them (at Walmart too lol, Walmart is cheaper then target, cvs, Walgreens, etc when it comes to makeup in my experience). I also recently bought the new elf hydro setting mist and I like it well enough. It has a nice finish but the mist is SUPER fine which, I’m not the biggest fan of but that’s just my personally preference. Now, I’m huge into Korean skincare and makeup, and one finishing powder that has kept me reasonably matte the ENTIRE day was: SKINFOOD Peach Cotton Multi Finish Powder. Holy. Shit. My makeup does not MOVE when I wear this on top of it. It’s cheap too, just under $8 and it’s quite a bit of product. Only downside is that, since it’s kbeauty, it can be a bit hard to acquire depending on where you are. Amazon carries a lot of Asian beauty goodies but the authenticity is shaky, and they mark up. Lots of third party retailers offer it for less and are always authentic products (eg, YesStyle, Stylevana, Style Korean, Olive Young, etc etc). I’ve tried a LOT of powders and this is the best one yet. Honestly, pairing with a matte foundation + setting spray + finishing powder works the best IMO. At least, that’s what’s worked for me. Playing around with products together will likely help you get the best results. Best of luck OP!

Usagithebruhmemr

omg thank you so much!

vy-neru

Your welcome!! Hope this method works for you ❤️

MCookie73

I have tried them all and find this keeps me the most matte the longest. Seems counterintuitive since it has hyaluronic acid, but it works the bomb for me. And I’m super oily! https://preview.redd.it/r7m74zhabwwc1.jpeg?width=712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb3b586c7ee359733c1fe42d6f99764e1a47aa2f Good luck!

Let me impart some wisdom upon you!!! I did the work & discovered the best / worst foundations for myself. I've tried prolly 80, just in the last year. I have extremely oily skin, huge pores, acne, and redness from rosacea. I cover it all and wear a full face of makeup every day, including a full-coverage, Matte foundation; powder, colors to bring out my eyes, loads of waterproof mascara, liquid lipstick, setting spray, etc. I just got married on Saturday & required the same results, but wanted even more insurance that my makeup would last, be sweat-proof, cry-proof, transfer-proof, and I wouldn't have to touch it up. I was very limited with time, and I could Not re-do my face for more pics...so it MUST NOT BUDGE! I practiced daily and tried to find the best products to fit my needs. I did my own makeup for the big day, and was very pleased with my choices. There were lots of surprises, especially regarding the Cost of some bottles, but I wanted things to be perfect! I'll also add that I have a very demanding job, work 16-20-hour days, lots of long nights on call, can go days without rest, and often need my makeup to last up to 24 hours...or until I'm ready to take it off. I'M ALWAYS looking for the next glod thing for my problematic skin. So...perhaps this small "foundation trial" list of mine will help you out: EL Double Wear: not tear-proof, not long-wearing for me Too Faced Born This Way Matte Foundation: not sweat-proof or tear-proof L'Oreal 24 hr Fresh Wear: not tear-proof, did not last long on my oily skin Rimmell 24 Hr: wonderful...but discontinued Nars Soft Matte: Yes, everywhere but nose MAFU HD Skin: 👎 Maybelline Active Wear: Yes! Fantastic in every way! Milani: not nose-proof, oily mess everywhere else. Terrible for me. Mac pro longwear Waterproof Foundation: YES! 💚💚💚**Mac pro longwear Concealer: BEST!! # 1 FAVE Lancome Tint Idol: shows every line Dior Forever Matte: not sweat proof MUFE matte velvet: Not sweat or eye proof Gucci Matte: not tear proof and not good at all on my face Hourglass Immaculate: didn't last 2 hours YSL all hours luminous natural matte: NO. Just...no. Fenty: not full coverage, nose creases Max studio fix: not work-proof, no coverage Revlon Colorstay: oxidized horribly, not nose-proof or long-lasting Tarte Face Tape: not tear-proof MAybeline Fit Me Matte: NEVER again!!! Revlon Cover All in the tube: LOVE Too Faced Peach Perfect Matte Foundation: favorite of all time, but now discontinued

Usagithebruhmemr

THANKK YOU THIS IS AMAZING

jlux5150

FitMe does not work on my oily skin either. I recently tried out the L’Oréal Infallible Pro Matte and I wish I had tried it out sooner. It’s a little heavier than I would like so it’s more of a going out foundation for me.

Usagithebruhmemr

awesome! im pretty sure im gonna try that one next.

crankthatvibegirl

I am a greasy bitch, and I’ve been using Revlon Colorstay Longwear foundation with great results ! That being said, throughout my many greasy years, I’ve found that skin prep has just as much to do with how long my foundation lasts as the foundation itself. I used to avoid proper moisturizing as I thought my skin was lubing itself plenty. Now that I exfoliate 2-3x/week, apply a good serum, moisturizer, and primer prior to my foundation, followed by a setting powder, my foundation lasts HOURS longer than by wearing it alone .

Affectionate_Try_891

This. Sometimes our skin gets extra oily because we aren’t moisturizing, so it compensates. I use a shine free moisturizer and then Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later primer and setting spray. My foundation is Maybelline instant age rewind 4-in-1 and I use covergirl clean matte pressed powder. I switched to k-beauty products for some things because they’ve got more options for oily-specific products. I have hooded eyes so I cannot wear eye makeup without priming and setting unless I want to look like a raccoon. Elizabeth Mott also makes a mascara my eyes can tolerate, which never happens. Etude makes a good drying powder for reapplying/setting too. Some k-beauty is starting to be available online through Ulta and Target. I’ll be honest, I use setting spray to freeze my eye makeup and contours but then apply powder to mattify for longer. I know it’s overkill but that’s what works for me. I’ve also used elf poreless primer and the blue light setting spray, and they work okay too. I’ve never seen my moisturizer anywhere but amazon: https://a.co/d/fKvRhjo

Cobblestone-Villain

Consider Rimmel's Stay Matte primer. As far as drugstore goes it's the best I've found.

New-Perception-9754

When I was younger, all I wore was Revlon Colorstay! Any other foundation, my oily skin would dissolve within a couple of hours. I stood back of the Estee Lauder counters, selling makeup, wearing Revlon Colorstay. I used to tell everybody it was Double Wear, LOL!! 😂

Usagithebruhmemr

I’ve gotten a ton of votes for the colorstay! Tysm!

Trick_Upstairs_3034

NYX can’t stop won’t stop foundation.

Exdremisnihil

Something that helped me with my oily skin is basically finding the right moisturiser, as my skin was trying to compensate for the dehydration. As for foundation, I'd recommend the sheglam balm foundation. It's really high coverage and lasts all day.

tinyrnushroom

i found the L'Oréal infallible fresh wear to work really well!

FishermanSad2232

This is going to sound counterintuitive, but what helped me a ton is better moisturizing. A good moisturizer, a good moisturizing serum, in the warmer months I will only do hyaluronic serum at night, so as not to over load my skin. Setting powder has been a huge help too. I’ve been using the one by MILK, but the maybelline powder is good too. Powder foundation has always been good on my skin too, the maybelline superstay or the elf camo. Hope that helps!

Nnemorosa

Maybe add in a mattifying primer and setting spray? I'm super dry so I can't provide recs sorry!

MissPlum66

I use the liquid SuperStay and I’m a greaseball. FitMe is my day off makeup.

look2thecookie

The Revlon (I think it's colorstay) in the TUBE is supposed to be great for that. I don't have oily skin though, so I haven't tried it

aggressive-teaspoon

NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop has been the most matte drugstore foundation I've found on my skin; it lasts significantly longer on me than Maybelline Fit Me. That said, NYX CSWS is not the most forgiving of texture. I have eczema and the flakes are pretty obvious with this foundation from close up, but it's basically fine from 2+ feet away.

EmeraudeExMachina

Makeup Revolution Relove super matte foundation is supposed to be a dupe for Estée Lauder Double Wear. I have never tried the Double Wear, but this stuff is good. Only about five dollars too, worth a try!

Gus_r3yn

I know how that is, so let me give you my affordable routine: Use blotting papers Clean your face with wet wipes and micellar water Use hamammelis water around the most oily areas Use rose water all over face Wait till it absorbs Use a hyaluronic acid serum on the most oily areas and a face lotion like the Cerave one all over Wait till it absorbs Use a spray primer, like the wet n wild take your vitamins one Wait till it absorbs fully Then go with the nyx shine killer primer infused with charcoal on the most oily areal, the the maybelline baby skin on the rest of the face Then go with the maybelline superstay foundation, you can mix a bit of the fit me one for a better result Then go with the revlon 5 in one colorstay concealer, only if you have super oily underyes go with the elf one, if not go with the revlon one For powder, go with a loose one, my best suggestion is the maybelline fit me one and on the most oily areas the sheglam insta duo setting powder (it’s amazing) To make it look less cakey use a fixing mist like the morphe continuous setting mist in between steps Then use your powder products as usual After contouring and blushing, take the sheglam powder and bake the most oily areas for 15-20 minutes, meanwhile do the eyes. After removing the excess powder, take the morphe continuous setting mist and spray your face. Then after lips and all of that, here is my setting spray routine: Milani make it last matte, shake it well! Elf stay all night (green one) Milani make it last original Nyx marshmallow setting spray I seriously suggest investing in the one size on til dawn, if it’s out of your budget I suggest you use either the revolution super fix super hold misting spray or the L’Oréal infallible 3 second setting mist (if you use the L’Oréal one make sure you spray it semi far away, and don’t do too much bc it’s basically hair spray for makeup)

lyhdias

I remember the L’oréal infallible pro matte being super effective back when I was crazy oily in highschool, but I’m moreso combo-oily now so it’s not totally suitable for me anymore. Also, not a foundation but the Wet n Wild photo focus loose powder is awesome for my oily t-zone, I still use it. L’oréal 24hr matte setter primer does a really great job at controlling my oils as well.

Usagithebruhmemr

Yesss I use that powder it’s amazing

Vegetable_Chemical44

L’Oreal Perfect Match Nude Foundation Serum

WhiteLilac3289

Right there with you! I feel like an oil slick when I wake up in the mornings. The base makeup I have found to last the longest on me is Believe Beauty pretty and primed stay put makeup primer, Covergirl Trublend matte made foundation, and Wet n Wild photo focus loose setting powder. That combination I can get 6-7 hours before my oils start coming through. Still working on finding a good setting spray. Hope this helps!

Usagithebruhmemr

Thank you I’ll add this to the list to try!

porkbellydonut

Umm.. I finally bought Essence brand powder foundation - 16 hr. $4.19 and it is HG status. Really a second skin and great at covering any redness/acne irritation. Did not need any concealer/powder underneath & doesn't lay dry over my current acne patch either!! When I have a chance I'm heading back and stocking uppppp.. It's not a common brand in NYC (at least where I shop) but I understand Targets carry Essence, bought it at Ulta.

sapphicsighs

I also have a ridiculously oily complexion - I know the struggle!! My two favorite drugstore foundations are the [Catrice HD Coverage](https://a.co/d/7Hn44IA) foundation and the Believe Beauty foundation. The Catrice gives a nice satin-matte finish, is medium to full coverage, and is available through the brand’s Amazon storefront. The Believe Beauty foundation is a little more lightweight, has buildable medium coverage and a beautiful natural finish - the caveat is that it’s only available in store at Dollar General.

Lulu0311

Revlon Colorstay is my fave. It’s a matte finish and stays all day. I’ve tried L’Oréal true match and it leaves my face dewy.

StrawberryRaspberryK

Essence 16hr foundation or powder foundation. Clean ingredients no silicones. Good for sensitive skin.

Bitchichi26

Revlon ColorStay! Literally lasts forever-even in the South during summer heat & humidity. (They make a formula for oily skin.)

robmosesdidnthwrong

Consider if your primer isn't working hard enough! I have an oily nose and forehead but dry everything else. I use a putty primer on the oily parts and a liquid primer everywhere else and it gives me a good two extra hours before having to pat with translucent powder to keep the face looking fresh.

Kmanithep

My go-to is to prep the skin in this order! I apply moisturizer, loose translucent powder, setting spray, allow to dry, primer, THEN go in with your foundation & everything on top of that. When you’re done, set your face with setting spray, and go in with pressed powder in the oily areas. I usually use setting spray once more after this and the makeup stays nice and matte through the night. Favorite setting sprays are the Elf ones and Urban Decay All Nighter. Matte spray by NYX is great too!

Kmanithep

Born This Way matte foundation is great! But this base routine works well with all foundations.

I second this, absolute game changer for me.
