I disagree! I think it’s a beautiful design and in line with their ethos with the event. It’s about curating an intimate experience, rather than sell huge amounts of tickets with flashy headliner marketing.
Remains my favorite festival I’ve ever been to. Seeing this level of artists in a small outdoor amphitheater in the desert where the whole thing is capped at 2,500 people is just the most unbelievable thing.
Because tickets were $500 and they are selling glamping to rv packages for $2500-5000.
Artists will adjust their fees based on what a venue/event can make. Skrillex and Four Tet are making way less here than they are at Lolla.
Form seems like a festival where artists circle as “i really want to play here for the setting, not the money.” And thats probably the selling point for the festival to the acts.
I live in Phoenix and this fest keeps eluding me. I’m always mind blown with the magnitude of the lineup and the size of the venue. Seems very intimate and would love to make it some day. Ticket and camping prices show that they don’t want regular festival goers in there lol
>Ticket and camping prices show that they don’t want regular festival goers in there lol
Any festival that has you write an essay about your 'intentions for/during the festival' in order to buy a ticket can fuck right off
They did in 2017 and I was able to go. Went 2018 and 2019 as well. Can't wait to go back. It's such a breath of fresh air after ginormous oversold fests!
i swear each poster gets less legible than the year prior. BUT I am v happy with what I’m seeing. lots of artists I wouldn’t otherwise see bc I don’t go to larger fests.
It depends on where this poster is and how much time you have to read and interpret it. I kind of like the design… Of course, as many here have said, it’s hard to read. So this limits where you can display it. It’s like breaking a code with random letter placement and spacing. Since it’s $500 a ticket, I would think it’s for a artsy, high-brow crowd. Something that gives letterpress vibes… However, not all elements would be easy with that type of printing. I like the style of Hatch Show prints from Nashville.
That is the worst design for a festival poster I have ever seen.
It's fucking beautiful if you look at the letters as art and not something trying to convey information

Right on
Horrible flyer design
Least readable festival poster of all time

> whole thing is capped at 2,500 people how is this not bleeding money omg

They actually have you write your plans out in order to buy a ticket?

Even before that. did not have to do anything of the sort in 2018 either

Yeah, that lineup is amazing!
I can’t fucking read the poster. Jesus.
That’s the worst fucking thing I’ve ever seen.
Legit
Damn. Guess I’ll buy tickets next year and hope the lineup is just as good
First the ill points poster, now this. Poster design is getting stupid. I just give up on trying to decipher these lineups and lose interest
The event is already sold out before they dropped the lineup. I think it’s kind of the point.

It’s looks great until you try to read it
How do I get tickets now? Wow
You dont. Its sold out. Glamping passes for 2 are $2500 right now is the cheapest option. There is a link for a waitlist that takes you nowhere.
And the glamping $2,500 doesn’t include tickets 🙁
LOL WHAT. Thats insane. So you can buy glamping for $2500 right now and still not go lol. Amazing experience.
Holy shit I’m not even gonna try reading this poster
I stopped reading the first line.
You can do great things on Fiverr these days…
I like the concept….just too hard to read!
FOR REAL twenty-two! OHGM-ohFOUr! 😃
This was made by a first year design student in 2008. The 2024 was a typo.
At first I hated it but after reading up on the context of the festival I love it
I thought it was a protest 😂
Looks good... until you go to read it.
Wtf what a beautiful poster
Best thing on this poster is “Arizona for abortion access”. Everything else, from the design to the actual lineup is MID af.
Can’t wait for free omo4– and the joys for auto forced justification with no adjustments
