Fuck side hustles - upskill. Study and learn a skill that will make you more valuable to your employer or future employers after lockdown. If you really need money you're probably better off stocking shelves at woolies. Unless you have a super in-demand skillset, in which case you should brand yourself as a "consultant" and start building a portfolio. Those online survey/data entry etc jobs are good... if your previous job was a subsistence farmer in India. For an Australian, you'd literally be better off going out on bin day and taking cans out of people's recycling bins for 10c a pop.

MoneyMonkey92

Good advice thanks 👍 At the moment I study and read some stuff, as I definitely agree with your point. In long term I already plan to do some other stuff. But in short term I really could use some extra money and was wondering if any of these things are worth the time.

ausgoals

>learn a skill that will make you more valuable to your employer or further employers after lockdown I’m not really sure how broadly applicable this is, even though it’s theoretically a good idea.

AllYourBas

Matched Betting! MB is so great, I highly recommend it as a side hustle (even outside Covid) but during lockdown it's even better. You don't have to know anything about sports or betting (I didn't, really), and the tutorials (and community) are really helpful. Check out [Bonusbank ](https://bonusbank.com.au/captain_bronco/38). Heartily recommend.

lokesh7

Can second this. In terms of side MBing is the best

[deleted]

How much can you make from this each month approximately?

AllYourBas

Depends on how hard you hit it - I have made about $30k in 12 months. Noting of course, that was 100% risk - free. There are limits, and it doesn't last forever, but it's also not difficult and very Covid-friendly

[deleted]

Nice, that's all tax free right? How hard would you say you hit it? Rare, medium rare or well done?

AllYourBas

In the beginning - well done. I'd say I'm more medium rare nowadays, but I've also branched out to trading etc now as well. I have developed my risk tolerance haha. All tax free, probably the best bit!

weakcygnus

Do you personally pay for bonusbank? Or do you just use the free version. Thanks!!

AllYourBas

Pay 100%. The link above will give you the first month 50% off (I think), but the tools/community are 100% worth it. You will make triple that in the first week from sign up bonuses alone, and the amount of +EV from the discord community is wild. If you're not sure, join for a month - you can always cancel.

mrp61

This might sound simple but just look at airtasker. See what jobs people want to do and reply to what your good at.

flogggnawww

Sell masks

MotorBill4178

Updating a resume or getting help to do it can be a valuable investment

MotorBill4178

Not sure if your skill set but freelancer might apply or your could self publish a book or mine helium, or upskill online or maybe even a micro degree

gausgsjsisvs

Even Uber or DoorDash if you know how to drive

bensaddiction

ECommerce through Shopify/EBay/Amazon (or a combo of all three) can be quite good if you corner the right niche. It can be relatively low-touch if done well and you have the right marketing experience or are willing to learn.

00017batman

I’ve done market research through respondent.io and Focus People Information. They usually pay quite well, respondent generally in USD. Of course you have to qualify for the projects but there are quite a few to choose from. I did homescan years ago and I think they gave you like $5 a month or something that was credit toward stuff from their catalogue. I never used the credit so it probably wasn’t worthwhile.

I signed up to lmct+

I use some app-based surveys on my phone. Once you are in a rhythm (I do them on the bus) it can cover beer/netflix money but not much more.  I wrote up a bit on [a few apps in r/beermoneyaus](https://www.reddit.com/r/beermoneyAus/comments/nvv9yr/a_review_of_5_survey_sites_and_apps_available_to/)

AussieFIcom

I’m trying out surveys through Octopus Group. Have made around $70 in 3 weeks. I reckon that translates to $10-$12/h

lala1237890

I like doing the RoyMorgan Survey research, good to see the stats as well

MoneyMonkey92

How are the rewards on the RoyMorgan Surveys?

lala1237890

[http://www.roymorgan.com/survey](http://www.roymorgan.com/survey) Monthly draw of $1k, but you get giftcard here and there which is great

Al3x_ThoRA

Finding another job is best, Try online surveys like pureprofile

MoneyMonkey92

Yeah a side job would be great, sadly my previous side jobs in Events and Weddings will be on ice for a long time... Any experience with Pureprofile?

bugHunterSam

Uber eats has a shortage of drivers for now… probably still shit pay though. I’m trying to grow my twitch/YouTube content. It’s slow going though.

doinkly

I've found things like delivery driving are great to do in spare time and on weekends. Sherpa, uber eats, etc.

whogotbeef3

-I’d say look for warehouse work, plenty of it still around, pay is around the $30p/h mark. Can be physically demanding-on your feet all day/lifting etc, but they generally have a range of shifts available to fit into your schedule. -Check your local woolies/coles as they are getting smashed at the moment-night fill, filling delivery orders. -courier driving with Amazon go

ectbot

Hello! You have made the mistake of writing "ect" instead of "etc." "Ect" is a common misspelling of "etc," an abbreviated form of the Latin phrase "et cetera." Other abbreviated forms are **etc.**, **&c.**, **&c**, and **et cet.** The Latin translates as "et" to "and" + "cetera" to "the rest;" a literal translation to "and the rest" is the easiest way to remember how to use the phrase. [Check out the wikipedia entry if you want to learn more.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Et_cetera) ^(I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. You could try appen for data entry / labeling AI data sets, it can pay well (\~$20 USD per hour), but can be mind numbingly boring. its a legit "work from home" though.

superfundfees

Pharmaceutical trials , Army Reserves, Uber. If working, try to get overtime or your boss's salary.

hooah1989

I resell as a side hustle, sourcing from garage sales, op shops and marketplace. I did 140k revenue last 12 months.

willhemaaa

Up and coming side hustle that is truly profitable \----DISCLAIMER--- THERE IS AN AFFILIATE LINK BELOW I am not here to false advertise, bs, lie, or take advantage of users. I recently discovered for myself a side hustle available to anyone over 18 in Australia. There are legitimately thousands taking advantage of sports betting promotional offers by the likes of Sportsbet, Ladbrokes, Neds, and the list goes on (about 40-60 more bookmakers). Before you call scam and fake please take some time to watch a couple of videos from [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZGBQToUpi9wZD2qw2rbsRA](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZGBQToUpi9wZD2qw2rbsRA). There is serious tax free money that can be made simply by using maths that is done for you by Bonusbank which is the platform/website that takes data from several bookmakers and STRAIGHT UP tells you exactly what you will profit (or lose) depending on the event outcome. It is extremely simple but there is lots of small intricacies to learn, I am absolutely happy to answer any questions relating to the more in depth side of it. In my first 25 days I have made three thousand in profit and many have made more. I have all the data tracked. There is a facebook and discord community consisting of thousands. If you want a few hundred per week spare or even four figures for only a 1-10 hours a week work then this will UNLOCK a more financially free life for you. https://bonusbank.com.au?aff=willhema Apologies if this strategy has been mentioned a lot in this page. https://preview.redd.it/45n9gdvgnpd91.jpg?width=1228&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8811c37722a1a64dd1e68aab833839eed9f8fcfc https://preview.redd.it/zc3jcivgnpd91.jpg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9c77aad21d007a375b202dd9e1134a25fcf589a https://preview.redd.it/x0p63hvgnpd91.jpg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1961c32411b592667631fddf0387414da1f74813 https://preview.redd.it/ktglskvgnpd91.jpg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd9149b938fa6f559cada7bb04f68542879190c6 https://preview.redd.it/fvbg5nvgnpd91.jpg?width=1240&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d9d02791a537c0634f091675afb4211db8c513d https://preview.redd.it/24ieslvgnpd91.jpg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1020155b048e36c88efb06cb9a8429a9d3f9f21b https://preview.redd.it/lmcdhlvgnpd91.jpg?width=1240&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=237aac05decc102eeebb82c96bfa96006de09764 https://preview.redd.it/lisr6qvgnpd91.jpg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=43e087ac4da14080729fc30351f1a67347286734 https://preview.redd.it/xm71mrvgnpd91.jpg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a01248ada6aed4e7798b6ac471547f3ecf62fb7 https://preview.redd.it/xwf7arvgnpd91.jpg?width=1212&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e53a323d93fce5423a11448eaca55efc01fab4ad

Doing app referrals. I've made hundreds just referring people to apps. Easy, relatively effortless and you can do it anytime anywhere
