My brother observed 2 on my front porch, named them because he could tell them apart (one had a split tail), observed their behavior. The males fight around July. They live more than one season.

Count one more vote for Save the Anole! They can change color like a chameleon, so if they come into your patio it may be because your walls are anole-friendly and they're catching a lot of bugs.
That’s an anole. They are harmless. They will help reduce pests in your home. I know someone who catches them and places them in his garden. Why do you want to get rid of them?
Well i’m not from Florida, My thought process was “why is it here- there’s no food in here” Even went as far to power wash the whole patio to clear it all out… Knowing now that they help out, will definitely let them have their space haha

Floridians should know their state welcome a lot of out of towners… So with that being said, our upbringing from where we originally more, were gonna be spooked by reptiles… Loose reptiles here is like the pigeons at home in the city. It’s the norm. Its something us outsiders have to get use to. Thankfully so, some good Floridians helped me out by giving me more info and others who say to move out..
I love having lizards in my yard, garden, carport and patio. This way I don’t pay for pesticide application. Food chains work. Native plants, native species…neighbors pay stupid money constantly to get poison sprayed — I buy plants and nature takes care of 99% of my insect issues.
Tree frogs however can fuck right off, those guys are caught and euthanized as soon as we find them. So damn destructive to the ecosystem.
I agree, lizards are great for pest control. But I know their poop is annoying. Make sure you don't have any holes in your screen and get a screen door sweep for under door - something big enough to close the gap.

Letting cats eat local wildlife is possibly one of the lowest effort scumbag moves one can make, so I wouldn't recommend it. I can't wait for the laws to catch up like they did when people used to let their dogs roam all over by themselves when I was a kid

Rather than hate on you, I encourage you to watch them. Eventually you’ll see one munching on a palmetto bug and you’ll see why locals love lizards.
