I’m just now realising that not all perk cards are animated and I feel grief for the ones I’ve probably scrapped unknowingly, always wondered what was so good about the last card in a pack 😭

I've started 4 different characters and only started 3mo ago. Everyone of them got animated nerd rage in the first pack I opened. Are you absolutely sure you didn't scrap?

100% sure, none of my 5 chars has it and as i said, i knew about animated cards and collected all of them siince my start

What happens if you rank up a nonanimated perk with an animated one?

The animated one takes priority so you keep the animated one, only way to lose animated ones is to scrap them

Pretty sure there's a couple cards that don't come in packs(probably not intentionally) and therefore the animated versions cannot be acquired.

What are animated cards and how are they different? I scrapped an animated Exterminator card the other day.

They aren't different at all. This is just the masses chasing the next shiny thing. They do the same exact thing as standard perk cards and you're the only one who will ever be able to see them. The FOMO in this community is real.

Every 5 levels you get a perk pack, the last card is animated. Look at your deck, you probably have some. If you rank up a non-animated card with an animated card, you get a animated card.

There is quite literally no point in having animated vs non animated. You're the only one who will ever see it and they both do the same exact thing. Would have been cool if Bethesda would have added a perk card trading system where you could display your animated perk card deck and trade perk cards with other players.. but then again there's alot they could have done with this game and chose not to.

Some of the cards are sadly not available, you can't get them all animated.

Healing Hands, Lifegiver, Bloody Mess, Adrenaline, Fortune Finder and Pain Train. Might be some others too. Some/all of them were available in the past, they were made 'legacy' for some reason at some point over the past few years.

I find that having only the final rank of a perk card animated to be better. It acts sort of like a book mark and helps me get to certain cards faster and without backtracking.

FO76 only joined steam on April 2020. But it was released around November 2018. When starting on Steam, total hours played was reset to zero. But actually some people had been playing for 16 months before.

Flux is the flora you can collect in a nuked zone. There's a few different kinds, yellow cake, crimson, cobalt and violet. But it all comes as unstable. You need to collect 10 of the unstable flux, as well as high radiation fluids, hardened mass and glowing mass to stabilize it. You use it for upgrades on power armor (like the targeting hud for the helmet). It's also used to craft mutation serums, ultracite ammo (which is why I have no ultracite weapons 😂), decontamination arches, and orbital scan and strike beacons. I'm probably forgetting something. 😂

Ya, I am surprised by the amount of people I see at events not in power armor. I rarely take mine off, and when I do I usually die instantly. 😂 But I came from fallout 4 where you really had to have power armor to get through the game. Plus it eliminates fall damage and with a jet pack and marsupial serum, I need that. 😂 Also, doing the mothman dance in power armor is the funniest thing I have ever seen. 😂 😂

PA is bulky as hell and I end up overburdened whenever I put it on (even the excavator) due to my armor & backpack mods. Plus they all kinda…look the same save a few strong outliers. Much wider variety in apparel. Also Ironclad+Fireproof+Barbarian= brick wall god. I can tank anything. PA is for mere mortals.

Hahahahahahaha that's fair. I have the red rocket T60 in sparkly red that I just love. The eyes glow blue when you turn on the light. 😂 😂 I do have perks on it that lower food, Chem and weapon weights so that does help. But I do love my mothman apparel. 😂

It's especially prominent with people with the legendary coat and stuff like that. You generally have better carry weight and stuff like that. When you think about it, you're carrying reduced weapon weight, you've got to backpack, probably high capacity, maybe even chemist. It just allows you to run more perks and stuff too. But it really just depends on the player and who does it/ for what reason is up to them

Yup, my hubby plays a lot without PA, but does wear it when he goes to events like safe and sound. I personally wear it most of the time because honestly, I'll join an event and forget I don't have it on and then I die instantly. 😂 😂 😂 My daughter rarely wears hers. Unless it's like Eviction Notice or something because of the carry weight. I have good with salt and thru hiker on all the time, so I carry enough food and chems to boost my carry weight if needed. And I can always jump out of my armor to travel to whitespring if I need to. I find it interesting how other people play though. And I love posts like this cuz I usually learn new tricks to the game! 😁

Can always try to roll armor with stuff like -90% weights. Saves perk cards I hoard and stuff ..

It's an emote in the atom store. It was free at one time, I'm not sure if it is now though. 😊 My daughter and I do it all the time. It's like our thing. So if you see 2 people in power armor doing the mothman dance repeatedly... It's probably us... 😂 😂 😂

Jet Packs

Yup I thought power armor upgrades would cover that because you also need it for the Targeting Hud in the helmet. You need a lot of flux for the jet pack too. I just changed mine to match my red rocket armor and had just enough to do it! 😂

Getting wood is easy.....

Collecting wood is easy yes, but boring as hell and not something I set out to do exclusively, only while doing the not-so-boring as hell things to do.

You can get about 1000 wood in 15 minutes with the wood chucker perk though. I did this the other day when I ran out. I didn't realize 7600 wood was a big deal. But I'm only level 170

“Collect wood” as far as challenges goes means the amount of times you do the action, not how much wood you collect. This beautiful motherfucker has clicked 7600 pieces of wood.
