Add just enough white vinegar to cover the bottom and simmer for a few minutes on a soft boil. Or get some of that ceramic stove top cleaner and a scrubdaddy.
A bain-marie is a double boiler with one pan resting inside another pan that has a few inches of water in it. A bain-marie has the effect of lifting a pan off direct heat so as not to burn or break fragile ingredients.

Not quite, creating circuit boards, an etching process does dissolve unwanted material to form paths for electricity. But with chemicals like ferric chloride or ammonium persulfate, not vinegar.
Is one better than the other? Are these better than barkeeper friend and rough sponge because I can't get some allclads clean of something just like this with BKF.
The interweb says I can use a Scrub Daddy on Teflon, but having felt one, I'm not convinced. (All but blue brillo pads are too abrasive.) Is it really OK?
Or a 10% concentration of citric acid. Leave it overnight if you want (no heat).
This should clear the water marks, passivate the pan, and wont damage it. Vinegar is actually capable of causing damage, though slowly.
You can use citric acid to passivate or clean basically all stainless. (Does help remove rust stains from stainless).
Obvious drawback is increased cost
It´s totally not Scooby Doo rip off pasta no.
It´s just randomly some [ghosts, dogs and vans..](https://images.collectandgo.be/images/step/JPG/JPG/500x500/std.lang.all/26/99/asset-3172699.jpg)
Don´t ask me why only the ghosts are visible.
If you want some, I´m afraid you´ll have to come pick them up in Belgium.
You saying this is even *original italian pasta*? Possibly handmade by Mamam Macaroni in her tiny sicilian kitchen (you can't prove me wrong)?
You are only selling this harder.
Heh, I got a pack of these yesterday at Colruyt and immediately recognized the silhouette in your pic. I told my 3-year-old son that the ghosts were octopuses. I hadn't even put together the Scooby Doo ripoff connection!
I've had mixed results with bicarb soda. Sometimes it works really well, sometimes it barely makes a difference. I've found it to be particularly ineffective against polymerisation. Sometimes I'll boil a bicarb soda and white vinegar mix for 10 minutes and then clean with soap and that has pretty good results most of the time.
On the other hand, Bar Keeper's Friend works every single time for me. 1 minute of soft scrubbing and blindingly shiny SS pan.
True for many applications. But barkeeper's friend is pretty much just oxalic acid, and baking soda is sodium bicarbonate so they actually do very different things since they are on opposite ends of the pH scale.
Good call, man. I once gave the ghosts in my house some caffeine and they just lost it. Tables stacked on chairs, doors opening and closing constantly, banshee screams, fleshlight flying around the house. Just madness.
The problem is people pronouncing pasta wrong. It's pronounced pahs-ta (rhymes with ross-ta) For some reason it's become socially acceptable in the west to call it pass-ta. But it's just ridiculous.
If someone seriously called a jalapeño a ja-lap-a-no we would think they're an idiot, yet somehow the idiot pronunciation of pasta has been adopted? Makes my blood boil.
Source: Italian
yet when Giada DeLaurentis says spaghetti with a strong Italian pronunciation, in the middle of an American English sentence, that also makes my blood boil.
Get some citric acid spray. They usually sell it for removing limescale in the bathroom. Spray some on, leave for 30 minute, wash, and you're clean again.
You can also get powder, but then you'd have to dissolve it.

Look at this boss over here. MR BIG GUY HUH!
Okay, let’s put a lid on it or that famous Reddit Mod Ban Mary will get steamed.
What is Reddit mod ban mary?
A bain-marie is a double boiler with one pan resting inside another pan that has a few inches of water in it. A bain-marie has the effect of lifting a pan off direct heat so as not to burn or break fragile ingredients.
>so as not to burn or break fragile ingredients. Like melting chocolate without cooking it for chocolate covered strawberries 😋
Amen
Til that's what it's called! I always improvised a similar setup out of what I have in the kitchen, though.
I just call it a double boiler, but I had 8yrs of French so have no need to call it a water bath. Besides-technically food does touch water. Lol
Oh goddamnit!
[YEEEEAAAAHHHH!!!!!](https://youtu.be/7uW47jWLMiY)
But can you see why kids love cinnamon toast crunch?
It's cause it's the taste you can hear. Right?
Boiling vinegar will make your kitchen uninhabitable for a while - why not just some Barkeeper’s Friend?
r/usernamechecksout
r/Beetlejuicing ?
Barkeepers friend also works
That stuff is awesome, but be careful with it, as there's some kinds of pots and pans it says not to use it on, notably including anodized aluminum.
Yea it's for stainless steel. And make sure that shit ain't plated steel as well.
why would they ruin beautiful artwork?
What do I do if I want my pasta ghosts to be permanent *and* clean
have we determined that they're dirty? as in do they impact the quality or safety of the food? my rice cooker also looks like this.
I’m not saying they are. But I don’t want to clean too well and remove the ghosts
Dont scrub too hard and turn it into exorcise! 🤣
But then they wouldn’t be there anymore!
They're ghosts. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there!
Vinegar is so underrated. You can use it to clean things, make a salad, and pickle things all with the same product.
Fax

I've got news for you... https://tinkerman.cat/post/pcb-etching-at-home-using-vinegar/
That is amazing!
This is the awesome shit the internet is made for.
Why would you want to remove this
Personally, I'd go with citric acid, although it can be slightly harder to find than vinegar. No smell to deal with though.
I just use lemon juice and it works great for this.
My local home bargains has started selling this under the elbow grease brand. Edit: Oop thought I was still in casualUK, carry on world.
I’m just wondering where people … hire … a scrubdaddy.
Is one better than the other? Are these better than barkeeper friend and rough sponge because I can't get some allclads clean of something just like this with BKF.
Go with the vinegar first. Also blanket endorsement for the scrubdaddy for all scrubbing. Best sponge out there.
Awesome. Don't disappoint me u/pots_and_pans....I've been hurt enough.
The interweb says I can use a Scrub Daddy on Teflon, but having felt one, I'm not convinced. (All but blue brillo pads are too abrasive.) Is it really OK?
Oh for sure. Scrubdaddy is not abrasive enough to scratch Teflon but will easily take care of debris.
Yes it’s 100% fine! It’s pretty soft with hot water
Can I wipe my bum with it?
Yes. Once.
Just cook a tomato sauce in it.
You have *that* username and don't even suggest barkeepers friend?! For shame.

I read it three times but I still can’t find the pun
But why get rid of those cute lil dudes?
Skip full amounts of white vinegar, 2 to 1 of water to vinegar does the same as long as it's warm
I would like my pot to stay this way, if it was mine.
Use a medium pot. They talk with the dead.
You win
Holy shit. That's gold.
Stainless steel actually
lmao
Why are you cooking tiny badminton birdies?

Where did you get the spooky pasta? I want spooky pasta, too!
It´s totally not Scooby Doo rip off pasta no. It´s just randomly some [ghosts, dogs and vans..](https://images.collectandgo.be/images/step/JPG/JPG/500x500/std.lang.all/26/99/asset-3172699.jpg) Don´t ask me why only the ghosts are visible. Loool I love how the only thing Scooby has to say is "I'm here"
Damn, this is definitely something I'd buy and brag about if i get to travel to Belgium ✨️ novelty gifts and all that 🤣
Not the beer, or chocolate. No. Novelty pasta sourced from italy.
You saying this is even *original italian pasta*? Possibly handmade by Mamam Macaroni in her tiny sicilian kitchen (you can't prove me wrong)? You are only selling this harder.
The packaging says "prodotto in Italia" so.. yeah obviously what you said.
Heh, I got a pack of these yesterday at Colruyt and immediately recognized the silhouette in your pic. I told my 3-year-old son that the ghosts were octopuses. I hadn't even put together the Scooby Doo ripoff connection!
>Don’t ask me why only the ghosts are visible 👀 that’s some supernatural shit right there
If you’re in the states Marshall’s/ tj max/ and home goods all tend to sell shaped pastas near specific occasions such as Halloween!
Bar Keepers Cleaner bro. Get the powder, add a little water, form a paste and scrub a bit. It's magic. DO NOT BUY THE PREMIXED BULLSHIT.
You don’t even need that shit lol simple baking soda and soap is more than enough for what people typically use barkeepers friend for
I've had mixed results with bicarb soda. Sometimes it works really well, sometimes it barely makes a difference. I've found it to be particularly ineffective against polymerisation. Oxalic acid isn’t what’s doing the work most of the time, it’s the abrasives in barkeepers friend that are typically doing most of the work
Creepypasta? Why not Zoidberg?
*woop woop woop woop woop woop woop*
Car-boo-hydrates
If you want to exercise them, try Barkeepers Friend. It's awesome.
>If you want to exercise them I like my ghosts lazy, but thanks.
Oh right. My bad. Teehee. I'll never live this down.
It will haunt you forever.
Good call, man. I once gave the ghosts in my house some caffeine and they just lost it. Tables stacked on chairs, doors opening and closing constantly, banshee screams, fleshlight flying around the house. Just madness.
Hol' up! Flying fleshlights?
Just one.
Lemme get some of them ghosts
You got a fleshlight that needs airing out?
Does anyone else see a huge skull in the middle?
Damn. Looks like you´ve found the [Grim Reaper](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/f0/8a/99/f08a99ccb538ff40fe2872e91421f572.jpg)
I see Evil Donkey Kong
Totally what I saw
It shifts between a skull and Thanos for me.
Ah man glad my pot didn’t do that when I made the dick shaped pasta as a gag.
That is f’ing cute and I would be devastated if they went away!
Nobody's gonna stop me from pronouncing "past" with the same vowel sound as "pasta." "The ghost of pasta's pahst"
A Brit says “past” with the first vowel of an American “pasta” and an American says “past” with the first vowel of a British “pasta”
Or you could be Robert Irvine and pronounce both like past.
How else *could* one pronounce it?
The problem is people pronouncing pasta wrong. It's pronounced pahs-ta (rhymes with ross-ta) For some reason it's become socially acceptable in the west to call it pass-ta. But it's just ridiculous. They pastaway
Get out of the house now…NOW! 👻
My stoned ass thought I was looking in a motor cylinder.... like, how tf you get ghosts shapes in the piston head?!?
Too much pot.
Sadly they have all pasta way
Absolutely spooky
I get this a lot, I use bar keepers (the liquid I prefer) and a scrub daddy. Boiling vinegar also works.
What kind of pasta could do that?
I know someone you can call to bust those stains.
Who you gonna call?
I see dead pasta.
Is this where pac man ghosts go?!
Not gonna lie, I would buy a pot that had this design
Too cute.
Pastageists
"Yoooou didn't stiiiiiir usssss enoooooough...!"
Not noodles, but boodles
Creepypasta damn someone beat me to it
It’s okay I’m not original either
Were you making Spaghetti Boo-lognese? 😭
Huh?? What kind of pasta??
dont worry you still have the ghosts of present and futur pasta to go through
Call the ghostbusters now 😂
Splatoon ass looking pot
What caused this? So cute❣️
What kinda pasta is this. I only see the shapes of badminton shuttle
Pasta Boo-lognese
I am more scared of Skeletors face in the middle...
Rinse with vinegar and it and the discolouration will disappear.
This is how you properly prepare ghost-monsters for eating, not just gobbling them up whole after taking a pill.
They pasta way.
Yeah you’re actually supposed to stir the pasta occasionally
Thats all the Italian grandmothers youve disappointed with your pasta cooking skills
More like OP doesn't know how to wash...
Spooky
This seems like a job for PacMan!
I see ghosts and Donkey Kong.
Got an italian ghost
Spooky vision!
Oouuouou i was once mac n cheeese oouuouo
I feel like they would also enjoy this over in r/halloween
Pasta the friendly ghost
Pasta use by date.
ever had penis pasta?
Yeah. They did´t stay hard for too long
Ruh Roh…
Get some citric acid spray. They usually sell it for removing limescale in the bathroom. Spray some on, leave for 30 minute, wash, and you're clean again. You can also get powder, but then you'd have to dissolve it.
C'mon... "ghosts of the pasta", please.
Was the last time you used it around Halloween? Genuinely asking
Definitely enough ghosts for a pastageist.
