While it would be absolutely amazing, there's too many obstacles.
Roger has gone full crazy old man yells out cloud.
David seems to be tired of performing.
David and Roger are not on speaking terms.
Rick Wright is dead. His keyboards are as integral to the Pink Floyd sound as Dave's guitar or Roger's lyrics.
I could see David or Roger doing a run at the Sphere but not together. That ship has sailed years and years ago. Rogers ego is too big. I'm amazed the actual Pink Floyd with Roger lasted as long as it did.
It really would be perfect. That said, I don't see Roger and David really wanting to play more than a song here and there together.
If they DID do it though, I can only imagine how expensive those tickets would be. My guess is 1k at minimum for obstructed view.
I could see a Roger Waters run there but Gilmour has very little interest in playing shows in general- and even less interest in playing classic Floyd. And I think his relationship with Waters is beyond fixing. Also Jon Carin would have been the only keyboard player who could pull it off but after years of playing with both Roger & Gilmour, he has been airing out serious beef with Gilmour over the past few years. It’s a shame all around
Yeah LA and NY only in North America, which is somehow even more limited than his last tour. Just got back from Vegas today and am headed to the Hollywood bowl in October to see Dave. Continues to be a good year for concerts
I may try to squeeze in another Vegas trip too. I’ll get the cheap obstructed view seats for the next shows, they just sounded so good I want to take every chance I can to hear them again because I know we’re on the back end of this whole dead and co iteration which has blossomed into such a lovely thing.
I don’t know about that. He’s leaning pretty heavily into anti-war, anti-police state imagery these days and when I saw him in Tacoma a couple years back it was all a bit grim, blown up to Sphere proportions they might have to hand out antidepressants going in.
Roger has gone crazier than Syd Barrett ever was. Rick Wright is dead. So no interest in a Floyd reunion from me.
Now David Gilmour at the Sphere (with or without Nick) would be a worthy trip.
Tool would be perfect for the Sphere but I wish they would take some time off the road and finish an album. Or at least start one. Maybe we'll see one in 12 years. lol.
They recently fought for years over the liner notes of a vinyl re-issue. It is just not happening.
They could call it “Wish You Were Sphere”.

The wall at the sphere would be nuts
Had the same thought… can you imagine the Gerald Scarfe Trial animations? Sheeeet
Animals, dark side (imagine time in sphere?), lapse of reason, crazy diamond visuals…
It would likely never happen if Rick Wright was alive. It has a less than zero chance with him gone.

Narrator: It did not.
It would take them decades to sign off on the visuals.
I would honestly settle for Brit Floyd at the Sphere.
Saw Floyd a few times…the thought of this gives goose bumps
Which one's Pink?

Gilmour is doing US dates this year, but I think if he was going to do Sphere dates, they’d be announced.

Gilmore said long ago that he wouldn’t do it without Wright…so less than zero chance.
^ this
I think Roger is a contender and the visuals he uses would be fantastic at the Sphere.

Agreed. No way in hell he and David plan anything but at this point I’d be a little surprised if Roger didn’t at least try for a set of sphere shows
Hell, if axl and slash worked it out, anything is possible
Bro. Don’t even tease.
David Gilmore will do a run there… mark my words.
Waters is far too much of an asshole to get a payday so big.

Next needs to be Tool or it doesn't even matter 🤷♂️ just let Alex gray run wild damn it
