CapriorCorfu

An island made of guano? That's pretty incredible.

alikander99

Well the base IS volcanic, I think. However the peruvian guano islands are famous because they had an **insane** amount of guano. like over 10m in depth.

CapriorCorfu

Yes, I figured there had to be something there, otherwise this would not work. 10 m., wow.

alikander99

Sorry, i didn't want to overestimate so I went with a very conservative depth. Apparently, The record is actually 60m.

alikander99

Ok, so for most of this series the key is to find out what the bizarre element of the landscape is. I've tried to cover different unusual geologic formations. The landscapes are just famous-ish examples of them. It's a non-extensive catalogue of how alien earth can look and be sometimes.

alikander99

It's not often that you can see an island and its builders
