But, you are partially correct that in the U.S. some parts of the South and the East Coast do indeed have smaller than usual doorframes. And especially smaller roads in the historic districts. I'm on the West Coast though, so you'll not really have that issue unless you go to some particular Old Towns, which were still built a century or two later than the East Coast and the South.

I stayed at this old “historic” hotel in Texas with my sister for a wedding once, and my 5’4” sister barely fit under the shower head. It was wild. Whole shower was tiny though, she couldn’t even stretch out her elbows. I literally had to wash her hair for her. Bathroom as a whole, bedroom doors, etc were all similarly tiny. Made me feel normal sized for once at 4’10”. Have no clue how anyone taller than my sister could manage in that room though, and of course they charge a premium since it’s “historic.”

I am over 6’3” and had a long term girlfriend who was about a centimetre or two shorter than me. The common refrain we would get was that she was huge, a giant, a valkyrie, and I was just a big guy. So many people were enamoured, attracted, or freaked out by her height and even though I was taller, broader, and heavier by comparison people saw me as the smaller one given how unique her size for a woman.

It’s in someone’s house, I’m not sure it’s just what people ask me to wear and I do it. The crazy 10-14inch heels go crazy. I don’t personally like wearing massive platforms but people enjoy the height differences.

6’5 here with 6’ wife. Daughter is 13 and 5’11. You’d look in place hanging with our team. Being tall is a gift and yes sometimes I have to duck just a little under doors around the globe when traveling. No apparent standards.

I fly every week, rent cars weekly, just a part of life, no issue. I won’t own a lambo but not that interested anyway. I guess US planes are bigger as I don’t have any problems flying AA or Southwest.
