The 500kg is never disappointing! You just don't know it at the time, but those 2 Scavengers and 1 Hunter were the deadliest enemies in that group of 50!
Bring it every mission without miss, I have two uses, I've seen more BTs flying up in a ball of fire than BTs surviving them.
My friends now know they can call me up when they see a bt coming up or any heavy enemy in general, I once killed 2 I think maybe even 3 BTs with a single, but I'll admit lucky, 500kg to the face of a BT in close proximity to the other 2, glorious it was I tell you.

BTW the damage of the 500kg bomb is strange, it's like a cone that comes up to the sky and down to the ground. perfect for kill bile titants but only if explode between their legs for example
It's the fact that it CAN, It has the ability to do almost everything, I would rather bring a barrage for bases or air towers bit it's just a solid Swiss army knife strategem
I think you’re already prepared for how it works because you said “somebody” and not “some large group”. Thing is, with proper placement the 500kg just doesn’t care how big that somebody is. It always delivers the pain in the right hands.
Heads up, the explosive force only goes upward for some reason despite being a small nuke, drop it under big or immobile targets, examples being tanks, hulks, factory striders, command bunkers, bile titans, chargers if you can get it off, shrieker nests and spore spewers, i dont know how possible it is with eggs but your welcome to try
On thing to note, if you are new to the 500kg, the damage area is not so much a sphere around the detonation as it is a cone. There is a radius around the bomb that will damage, then from the edge of that radius, there is an cone moving out and up.
This is why sometimes you can direct impact something with the 500kg but it's still alive (Great example is a Bile Titan. Hit its head with the bomb and it might still live because most of the damage is focused upwards. Hit the ground below it and it should 1 shot reliably)
So here's my grip with the 500kg and this pic is perfect. If you go to this screen in game and watch the little How-to video here, it clearly shows the 500kg dropping straight down on this thing but every time I've used it, it's comes in wayy more on a 45° angle so it was disappointing to use.
Anyone have any light to shed on this? I really want to love this one but with the OPS buff and ORC, I don't need this guy.....but it would complete my death from above trifecta.

Yea one shot one thing where as eagle airstrike can one shot multiple and idk far to many times I’ve used it and it lands under the big walking target and the target comes out of smoke still attacking and I’m like whelp guess I’ll use another sigh useless 500 lmao point is pre nerf was amazing now I never bring it

I really like when divers use it. Helps me see the bugs that survived.

As it also, also turns out. You can upgrade eagle 1 to allow her to hold TWO 500kg bombs per reload.
As it turns out my kill friendly fire counter is about to go up a whole lot. This is now cannon.

Remember it has a upward cone of damage. If it lands near you, hit the deck and stim. You might survive.
