AI seems like a nightmare in general, but I LOVE watching the evolution of the "why don't pictures like this ever trend?" posts. Little African boys making sculptures from plastic trash have turned into giant boys made out of old water bottles. They really have a thing for attractive female, usually Asian, flight attendants. Jesus rescuing these flight attendants from an emergency landing has turned into Jesus as an airplane. They're getting so weird and some of the real people that interact with them have started getting mad about blasphemy. Great stuff.

I'm interested in what the near future holds for Facebook at this point. The bots on the main feed and the scammers in the marketplace really compromise the quality. And this in turn has to be damaging their numbers. The only thing that's left is the Groups, but as soon as they take off they're basically unmanageable at scale - or at least there's better ways.
And yet the ad money seems to keep rolling in, which gives Facebook a disincentive to change too radically and must mean it's working for the advertisers.
A crappy platform with a reason not to change sounds like a death spiral to me.

So here’s the optics of these exact types of posts: Jesus is revealing himself to us on hillsides, tortilla chips, what have you, but presumably atheists, satanist, the deep state, and non-believers, in order to suppress his devine message are suppressing these post on social media. All in an effort to satiate their desire to feel more oppressed and persecuted.
The truth is Christianity and Christian’s experience probably the least persecution of any religion. I’d probably put Muslims as the most persecuted in recent years. The Ouïgours in China, the Rohingya in Myanmar.
Sadly this is and will always be a byproduct of religion. When a religious group claims to be worshipping the correct god, or are gods chosen people it usually doesn’t resonate positively with people with contrary religious views. It’s a system set up to fail. The only way for a religion to not feel persecuted by the existence of people who don’t directly share its beliefs is to convert all those people to its beliefs. It’s an all or nothing mentality.
