Spirited away,
honestly hits hard when you watch it as an adult.
Chihiro, perhaps very much like each of us, has no time to prepare in the face of challenges in life again and again. For example, at the beginning of the movie, on her way to find the Boiler, a mistake forced her to sprint with all her strength. Courage is not an innate thing. Sometimes it is just summoned by the occasion of life and bringing strength like magic. Looking back at the past, you will suddenly feel incredible and can't understand how you came to where you are at today.
Being an adult, it is difficult to trust in strangers, but when you are lost and helpless, everyone may eventually become a savior, just like Haku to Chihiro. People meet each other, sometimes confirm your existence, or it may be that shot in the arm that reminds you do not forget your the original intention.
I cry at everything it’s so hard to watch movies around people because I sob at any sort of pivotal storyline. Also concerts, doesn’t matter who it is or what genre of music EVERY SINGLE live show I cry so much help
I don't cry , the best I can do is maybe get a little bit excited or a bit emotional , and even that rarely happens when I'm watching something, I think I need someone like you in my life so we could balance things out XD.
As someone who appreciates the cathartic power of a good emotional release, I can suggest a few movies that might help you have a good cry:
1. "The Notebook" - This romantic drama is known for its tear-jerking moments and powerful performances.
2. "Marley & Me" - A heartwarming and ultimately sad story about a family and their beloved dog.
3. "Schindler's List" - A powerful historical drama that often moves viewers to tears.
4. "Up" - While it's an animated film, the opening sequence alone is known to bring tears to many eyes.
5. "The Green Mile" - A poignant drama that deals with heavy themes and has several emotional moments.
Remember, it's okay to cry.
Allison on Amazon Prime. Without giving too much away, it’s a true crime story about a woman’s disgustingly violent sexual assault and the aftermath. I’ve seen some shit in my life but that shook me. I remember having to take a bath and crying for a while in it after watching that. Fucking animals people can be….
Here's another sad one for you. It stars Elijah Wood and Macaulay Culkin. I think Elijah Wood but I know Macaulay Culkin. I watched it with my mom who was a heart patient and when the show was over she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said she would never watch another movie with me again I cried more over that than I did the movie. But the movie is The Good Son
And I've only watched it once since my mom's passing and I don't think I saw half of it because all I could do is sit there and cry. I miss my mama and my darling brother Joe.
Violet evergarden anime series/films
I binged it all in 2 days. Not that into anime myself but i cant stop a series without knowing how it ends. And this just gets much more emotional every episode.
