She hired a hit bird, who then lured the male bird into a back alley while dressed as a female bird pretending to be offering sex. The hit bird then shot the male bird in the head, And drug his body behind the dumpster. He poured lye all overthe male bird‘s body, and then used a combination of ants and a tiny bird chainsaw to dispose of it. That is all that is left, once it was desiccated, the wind probably blew the bones out from under the dumpster.
In his rush to get away, the hit bird lost a feather that will ultimately be used to convict him. Let that be a lesson to you. There is no perfect crime!
In all seriousness this happens a lot when a bird gets plucked off a branch by a bigger bird. They try to hold on so hard they end up ripping their leg off.

Thanks for the serious answer. Though I posted this for fun and fully expected creative, interesting and funny answers, I was also genuinely curious of what might’ve actually happened!
Also, you can’t tell from the photo, but I guesstimate that the longest section of bone is at about 10 inches, so the full length stretched out is nearly 2 feet. I was thinking it might be a heron or something. I wonder how big was the predator!
