I was in the cult too for awhile. Sooner or later you're going to run into somebody who will explain to you that the pronouns are not preferred. They are just that person's pronouns. To suggest that they are preferred is transphobic. That person's identity is not a preference. To use their pronouns is not a matter of respecting their preferences, it's to respect who they are.

I have worked from home for the past 8-9 years; so not a lot of “work” people really see it (luckily, I guess? lol). I have shared it with some work people- usually if I find out they are Mad Men fans, or if they just like eclectic art. When people come to my house they definitely notice it, but I think it blends well with the rest of the art in my space. Thankfully no HR intervention lol

According to the Wikipedia entry for The Dream of the Fisherman’s Wife, some of the text reads: Large octopus “Your ‘bobo’ is ripe and full, how wonderful! Superior to all others! To suck and suck and suck some more.”
I think you may be anthropomorphizing the octopus a little bit. Tentacles are absolutely covered by things that create strong suction. But the mouth of an octopus (which is comprised of a beak sharp enough to severely cut human skin) does not suck.
there's no anthropomorphizing going on that's not canon to the actual woodblock print. Regardless of the octopus' biology or beak, it is clearly shown with it's mouth hole firmly between the womans legs. It's not exactly supposed to be an anatomical depiction, it's an artist's rendering.
in response to that weird passage about her "bobo", the woman responds "You hateful octopus! you're sucking at the mouth of my womb!"
