Sounds like the motor/fan assembly is loose, either that or a loose housing screw. I’ve had both of these things happen at my buildings.

Set it up outside to turn on automatically as a cheaper storm warning, just hook it up in lieu of a current broken horn. Then order a new one. Real answer: Filter, intake, belt, motor - go down the order of checking everything from easiest to hardest to check. If none of those fix it... Order a new one and consider the joke option.

Could be struggling to get air on the intake? At least that's what are vacuums sound like when something is blocking the tube or filter is way over due. But we have a different brand of vacuum.

What i would do -- first, empty and clean it all. I'd open the bottom and take the brush off, clean the hair and bs wrapped around it, i'd look at the teeth that the belt slips on to (assuming this is a toothed belt) and i'd look at the belt. Any missing teeth and u'd assume thats part of the problem. I'd look for any obstructions between belt, gears, and housing. While its open, i'd clean all of that, maybe put a drop of oil on the gear motor spindle (very little, not getting it on gears/belt). While the belt/brush is off, i'd plug it in, turn it on -- are the sounds still prominent? Putting it back together, id make sure everything is tight, id check the rubber gasket between the dirt canister and vac body - rips or deforming can cause these to whistle and make noise. All back together, i'd set the height level correctly so it's brushes aren't grinding against the carpet and not trying to suck up the mat. Vacuums in general make more noise on carpet mats b/c theyre thin w/a rubber back and not adhered down like traditional carpet - it wants to pick up the whole mat and that makes noise. Height adjustment's all you can do about that.

Sounds like a power plainer. Most likely bad bearing or the fans hitting the Case assembly. Id replace under warranty

buy a commercial grade vac… also don’t suck water into it sounds like you got water on the impeller motor
