Every one of these I get has been a 1 and done. My tenants have a tendency to put unwrapped meats, hot liquids, and various other open products in the freezer. All the moisture ends up bricking up in the back.
I love that we all have different ways of knocking this out faster. Personally I already have the food out so I just turn a hair dryer on and shut it in there, come back in about a half hour. Cooks it all out.
This was a wall paper steamer without the attachment. World great. I changed the defrost timer after i cleaned up.
A great fun melted all the Styrofoam and plastic. Once it got going, it didn't take too long.
This fridge is less than 2 years old.
Your defrost cycle isn’t kicking in. You don’t want to do this every week. I’ve been there.

That a vacuum or what? I just take a heat gun to the fins to thaw them out.
Steam is much more gentle on the plastic liner, compared to a heat gun.
Steam gun. 35 dollars would make quick work of that

I did the hair dryer thing once and had the door cracked a bit and it killed my dryer lol. That was 7 years ago. I'm sure they are better now
Call me old school. I put a bucket under the drain pan hose, and use hot water and a turkey Baster.
I do the same. I think its by far the fastest way.
Bypass def t stat...
What do you mean by this?
Put the unit in “defrost mode” manually
Ahh gotcha!
Heat lamps are your friend for this..stick one or more up in area and come back in 30 mins
