Man being broke actually saved me. Had an encounter with a group of people imitating police with actual badge numbers, told me they have a warrant for my arrest for money laundering. Then they told me might have been someone using my identity but need to continue investigating. Said i was still a suspect and required 5k bail. Told them i was broke and needed to borrow from parents. They were adamant that i not tell my parents and was willing to lower the bail, told me to ask from friends. I got suspicious and looked up the name of one of them who claimed to be Dato. Instantly found a match of a scam case.
>few apartments in Penang
If anything, I feel that makes you very broke because you have high financial commitments.
By the way, why do you need RM50,000 if you're not broke? It's such a small amount. If you had asked for RM50,000,000 to develop a piece of land, I'd believe you're not broke because broke people won't propose grandeur schemes.
Whatever. That's why I'm in US. Most foreign worker are not broke in US. If you came out of your coconut shell and travel abit you might know what I'm talking about
>Most foreign workers are not broke in US.
Yes, but not exactly rich either.
>If you came out of your coconut shell and travel abit you might know what I'm talking about
I travel at least once a year and I lived in the US.
> I have few apartments
Have the housing prices really rised to such a degree that we now brag about apartments? What happened to all those rich folk bragging about their 3 storey house with elevators?
What's the point of "owning a few apartments" when you're an actual dumbass who thought a royal would follow and message you, I'm surprised you're smart enough to even know how to buy an apartment, of course that's if you actually do have "few apartments" in Penang🤣
Why are u so fixated whether you are broke or not and its obviously satirical joke made by the commenter?
You are the only one who doesnt get it and you are the same person who made the post smh.

Bro also thought he's rich, but then asked royalty for a measly RM50,000, which can't even get you an apartment unit, at least in the big cities.
Lol, OP really thought the royals will just texting random people on the internet and offer free money to him.
OP live too long in overseas and forgot reality?
So a royal following you on TikTok, and DMing you, doesn’t even trigger your scam alert? It took up to them asking for you for money?
If you wanna get rich one day, be your own boss, and retire early, I’ve got just the plan for you. DM me for joining instructions. Anda bila lagi?
Bro….it would be the biggest scandal of 2024 if the princess of Johor, who is already married btw, was sliding into the dms of an ordinary person.
What did you and the scammer even talk about?
Basically the person asked about my life in US. I told her I was just a kampong boy from Penang.Just brief conversation, nothing sleazy or disrespectful.
I’m not saying the Tunku actually texted you. Your comment said you didn’t realise it was a scam till they asked you to pay for that key thing.
Im asking you to consider the fact that, IF that person was actually the Tunku, it would be crazy and quite far fetched.
You can also see how observers reaction makes it easier for "victims" to get scammed
All the "haha you so stupid" comments only makes the victim double down , because no one wants to admit they're really that stupid
Step 1: Pretend to be Nigerian prince asking for money
Step 2: Victim asks the public whether this is legit.
Step 3: Pretend to be part of the public. Call the victim “stupid” for almost falling for the scam.
Step 4: Victim double down. They send money to prove a point.
Step 5: ???
Step 6: Profit
It be awfully cool if you could convince the scammer (as the authentic TMJ) to challenge the real TMJ on social media as the requirement to be paid RM200
Edit: sorry not TMJ but you get my point right
erm....ok.... i suppose i view it differently. the way to avoid getting scammed is by being informed. so, by not knowing means that they will indeed have a higher chance of getting scammed vs learning from OP?

Don't really care
"doesn't care" and yet made this post on reddit. smh.

I'm not broke . I have few apartments in Penang but I told the scammer that I'm broke to see what's she going to come up with.

also the scammer wanting RM200… looks like everyone involved is a kid or broke. or both.
Whatever. That's why I'm in US. Most foreign worker are not broke in US. If you came out of your coconut shell and travel abit you might know what I'm talking about

It's ok bro, just admit you're broke. We're not judging you.
Lmao adding this isn't making it any better
> I have few apartments Have the housing prices really rised to such a degree that we now brag about apartments? What happened to all those rich folk bragging about their 3 storey house with elevators?
Cheapest apartment I've seen in the market lately is Rm280K.
Sense to buy a few apartments in Penang, not enough sense to realise this was a scam right after the follow request. Definitely broke
What's the point of "owning a few apartments" when you're an actual dumbass who thought a royal would follow and message you, I'm surprised you're smart enough to even know how to buy an apartment, of course that's if you actually do have "few apartments" in Penang🤣
LMAO THIS GUY IS BROKE AHAHAHAHAHA
LOL, you reminded me of a guy who bought expensive cars just to flex against family members and friends who was doubting you.
Why are u so fixated whether you are broke or not and its obviously satirical joke made by the commenter? You are the only one who doesnt get it and you are the same person who made the post smh.
Yes. I'm broke , very broke. Happy now you know the truth
Idk why you have to be so insecure
LOL. getting pressured by karma.
But you already knew it was a scam since the follow request, right? ...Right?
If a Redditor living overseas could believe this what would the typical person 🤦
I was bored and just playing along. I met so many scammers in US have not lost a dime
Not at the beginning. I realized it was scam because of the Rm 200 Royal access card.
Lmao bro really thought he was lucky
https://preview.redd.it/9d4qzjs3b98d1.jpeg?width=1034&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39d42dd2204a1741ccb2fc722fa97a30f8cd19a2 Bro also thought he's rich, but then asked royalty for a measly RM50,000, which can't even get you an apartment unit, at least in the big cities.
What if he's also a scammer? ![img](emote|t5_2qh8b|26554)
Lol, OP really thought the royals will just texting random people on the internet and offer free money to him. OP live too long in overseas and forgot reality?
You actually thought a royalty is following and messaging you?
There's no fucking way you thought an actual royal would message some random citizen lol
So a royal following you on TikTok, and DMing you, doesn’t even trigger your scam alert? It took up to them asking for you for money? If you wanna get rich one day, be your own boss, and retire early, I’ve got just the plan for you. DM me for joining instructions. Anda bila lagi?
Lmao got me in the first half ngl
I think bro knows he just sucks ass at telling it.

Brader, there was no tunku. It's just Tunku wanna be scammer
I’m not saying the Tunku actually texted you. Your comment said you didn’t realise it was a scam till they asked you to pay for that key thing. Im asking you to consider the fact that, IF that person was actually the Tunku, it would be crazy and quite far fetched.
Yes indeed
I think you are missing the picture here, people are laughing at you…
Nigerian prince❎ Malaysian princess✅
I always wondered how people could be fooled by the Nigerian Prince scam in the early internet days. Turns out its very easy.
You can also see how observers reaction makes it easier for "victims" to get scammed All the "haha you so stupid" comments only makes the victim double down , because no one wants to admit they're really that stupid

Absolute genius...
dont underestimate the number of morons out there
niama how dumb can u be, johor sultan follow ????? were you born yesterday?????
This the proper response lmao
Royal in Malaysia asking for money LOLOLOL
Malaysian believes Royal for giving out money in exchange for help is funnier
TMJ just followed me on Reddit and is offering me car licence plates. He said it is a good business.
TMJ on reddit? I knew it
r/TMJ yep. There's a sub.
Hahahaha
Lol. I'm sure you have to pay a bit fees to start, usually its not much.
So you casually ask random people you dont personally know for usd50k? ><
It be awfully cool if you could convince the scammer (as the authentic TMJ) to challenge the real TMJ on social media as the requirement to be paid RM200 Edit: sorry not TMJ but you get my point right
I just love the fact that all the replies from OP are getting down voted
Royals trying to take money from rakyat marhaen seem pretty legit tbh
Royals asking for money is like Bill Gates asking for moneys
OP, u nak kaya? Follow these [instructions](https://rasamalaysia.com/kaya-recipe-malaysian-coconut-egg-jam/), only 30 minutes per day.
Bro is actually broke in some skills 💀
Lol wants to give you 50k but needs rm200 first? Why not just transfer rm49800 lol
Curious. Why is this flagged as nsfw?
So the children dont see it and make them more likely to get scammed.
erm....ok.... i suppose i view it differently. the way to avoid getting scammed is by being informed. so, by not knowing means that they will indeed have a higher chance of getting scammed vs learning from OP?
Im just messing around.. yeah kinda weird op marked it as nsfw. Should make it public knowledge.
lol. tks for clarifying. could've marked your comment with "/s". i would've gotten the sarcasm. ;-)
It’s pretty ironic isn’t it since 50k isn’t a problem and yet they need you to fork out RM200 first lol what gives
I frequently get calls from macc and skmm and polis asking for my bank details
It's 2024 and still got people fall for that scam?
Obviously its a scam lmfao
i cant with these replies lmaoooo
There is a Tunku, just a different kind of Tunku.
ask him buy for u the royal key access and pay u the remaining
Ayo. Not everyone online is super good with technology (boomers and kids new to internet) so we got this post to warn future people. Good already.
You are the only one who have left a sensible comments compared to all the otak udang. Well done bro
Why would a scammer be pissed at someone being poor? Like bitch you poor too
Agak da. Kalau suh bayar dulu confirm scammer.

Her cats chill in her birkin hermes bag that costs more than a myvi. She will never ask for rm200 😭
That's why it's called scam
Send me RM 2000 and I will send you 500 every month for 4 months
In the 90s me and my brother also got email from nigerian prince, such a humble prince want to give his inheritence in Malaysia. 🤣
I got several Tunku following me too.
