I know it’s algebra, but we recently learned about N-gonna, and used the formula 180 (N-2), so the N+1 part reminded me of that, which reminded me of geometry, which reminded me of my homework
Funny I would like to have one of those bikes. But I get the urges Harley Davidson are a different animal, and you see them everywhere. Once you ride one is pretty much over. You can't go back. I will say this. I don't know your financial situation but don't miss out on the opportunity. I'm pretty sure you can get pretty penny for that bike and buy a new or used decent shape bike.
I love my Hondas but yeah that was true for me after riding the iron 1200 and especially the street bob, they have some used Street bobs up the road for like 11k with only a few thousand miles and boy.... Is that a urge I have been fighting haha
Rode a Honda for 6 years loved it, but all it took was a pull on a 883 for me and it was over... I'm not gonna badmouth other bikes but Harleys are just different. I can't wait for ridding season.
Haha my friend has an 883 and lets me rip on it every now and again. And honestly it is so fun even being the small bike, I would be happy to pick an iron 883 up for 6 or 7k especially if it already has the 1200 kit
And same I really love all bikes honestly
Nah I had to wait till I was 25. Closed on my bike the same day I did my house and got 3% on both. Guess it’s the last house and Harley I’ll ever own! 🫠
No, don't misunderstand. I meant pull on the throttle the rattle of the engine and the loud pipes. That's what I meant. When you hear the bike go. Noting to do with speed. I don't ride motorcycles to go fast that's not my thing. I ride to enjoy the ride. I now have a sport glide. I used to ride a 600 Honda it was fun but I now like Harley Davidsons .
Dood I was an adventure bike kind of guy. Rode a dual sport cross country twice and was like I'm never getting a Harley.
Then I rode one for the first time and bought a street glide that I turned into a road sofa geezer glide. So much comfort.
There is a stigma surrounding the brand but that group is so small and the majority of the riders are pretty cool.
I bought mine on a really good deal. There are plenty still out there and if you wrench on your own stuff they are pretty easy to maintain and upgrade.
I say go test ride one.
Personally I just can't stand the rider triangle on Harleys. Except the Pan America, that bike has a perfect seating position. Even as a rider in his mid 40s, when cruiser ergonomics are supposed to be appealing apparently, I just cannot stand having my feet forward of my hips.
So many bikes so many setting but if it's not for you its just not for you. Nothing wrong with that tho. I always get a joy when I see people in two wheels.
Completely disagree. I personally have never found anything special about Harley-Davidson other than the fact that I get to work on it every couple of weekends.
Idk why everyone says that had an 08 Harley crossbones that I put 20k miles on over 8 years, never did anything but oil changes and plugs I think, which was super easy to do myself.
Oh yeah, I get it.
I'm sure, that part of my issues with reliability came from being a Thousand Mile a week Rider and riding everything like I stole it
When you become a Dyna-bro don't forget the Gay Pirate regalia.
So you can express your individuality just as the Dyna-bro corporate overlords prescribe it.
I’ve had a 2006 Bonneville Black since the crate and & wouldn’t trade it for anything… I did just get a KLR 750 Adventure last summer tho 😂 It’s always better to have another bike
**edit** - typo (I’ve)
I've never owned a Harley but I've been really thinking about it lately. Wife might kill me if I bring a 3rd bike home lol
Really been eyeballing the fat bob 114
He’s referring to the fucking bike.
Edit: oh, holy shit, you blocked me because you didn’t like your weird gatekeeping getting called out. That’s just embarrassing.
I went to a local Harley dealer to look for some boots. A group was having a giant cook out in the parking lot. Of course there were a bunch of Harleys, but I saw a Hayabusa, and a couple of other Japanese bikes. Being white I was the minority there by a long shot. There was no racism there.
The oil leaking stereo type was because the bikes did leak some oil. That was 50 or more years ago.
BTW, My favorite bike I've ever owned was a Triumph.
It's like people forget that there's mixed race and all-black motorcycle clubs that only allow American bikes.
Those dudes are usually some of the coolest, most down to earth guys out there.
Now, there's a good fistful of HD riders that 'fit the stereotype' of the hateful bigot, but those dudes are dying off (like they are in most facets of life), and aren't generally accepted in most circles- people just think they're overrepresented, because they tend to be the loudest and most obnoxious about vocalizing their views. The best part though? Their willingness to show their ass by opening their mouth makes them easy to avoid.
Nothing at all. But since you asked? Timp Harley tried to kill me but not reconnecting my fuel line correctly on my pan America. They treated me like shit. Now for clarification this was not sales theirs was service
So you know what HD stands for right?
Hunnit dollas
That bolt that rattled out... 100$
That primary seal that's leaking 100$
That stator... 200$ plus a 100$ gasket
That oil change.... 100$
That stretched clutch cable...100$
That belt instead of chain for your sprocket... 100$
That random drip of oil from the crankcase inspection you guessed it 100$ / hour or more. And it will still leak.🤣🤣
I love the raw torque of a Harley or any vtwin really. But it's more of a status symbol than anything. Personally I'd rather an Indian motorcycle like a chieftain or scout. They feel more receptive to the road.
Triumphs are the Supreme beast of motorcycles finely tuned and engineered. Smooth power, nice curves, great looks, awesome handling. They might not be the fastest but very arguably the best..... Yours, though, needs tires like yesteryear. Unless you put a doughnut spare from a car on it.
I'd still take my tiny Japanese metric regardless because we all know n+1 is the answer. Just can't get with the Harleys. I like the looks and if I could afford a 30k bike I'd have the Pan-America all day. But that's legit the only one I would own. And those are still so new who know what problems those have. Regardless.
Be safe, and stay sunny side up.
What’s better than having a motorcycle? Having two motorcycles.
The correct number of bikes is N+1
Thanks for reminding me I forgot to do my geometry homework
That's algebra so you should really do that homework.
I know it’s algebra, but we recently learned about N-gonna, and used the formula 180 (N-2), so the N+1 part reminded me of that, which reminded me of geometry, which reminded me of my homework

This is the way
This is absolutely the way.
Might be the angle but your tires are really squared. You might like your bike a bit more when it doesn't take 3x the effort to turn~
Nah they are super square. From the previous owner. They still have life. I can’t afford a new set yet
Don't be stingy!
I would buy some new tires before a Harley.
Your life is more important than poverty.
Says who

Man I started out on a Road King 114, y’all are makin me more of a Harley snob than I maybe already was 😅
Haha damn that's a great first Harley, I know this kid down the road that is like 17 and his parents bought him a Road king, I'm like mother fucker! 😂
Nah I had to wait till I was 25. Closed on my bike the same day I did my house and got 3% on both. Guess it’s the last house and Harley I’ll ever own! 🫠
What was it that gave you that feeling? You said pull but an 883 is pretty slow in terms of actually pulling. Was it the overall experience?

Yeah man. I rode a Low Rider ST with "mids". Harley just has a very different definition of mid controls than I do.
Different people have different opinions because they have different experiences.
My point was it’s mostly people talking out of their ass without actual experience, I’m sure you can appreciate that.
Oh yeah, I get it. I'm sure, that part of my issues with reliability came from being a Thousand Mile a week Rider and riding everything like I stole it
I love my Triumph. But what I want is…… to be one with a LiveWire again. 😱
Soon, soon…..
When you become a Dyna-bro don't forget the Gay Pirate regalia. So you can express your individuality just as the Dyna-bro corporate overlords prescribe it.
As a guy who still owns assless chaps and a leather vest from the good ol days you've nailed how I feel when I put that shit on. Thanks for the laugh.
What do y’all expect when a throbbing v-twin is massaging your balls bags/fufu
Being a dyna bro is all about stunting and having fun. Look on instagram for eastcoastin and reckless203 pauliedragss tallboytee
I’ve had a 2006 Bonneville Black since the crate and & wouldn’t trade it for anything… I did just get a KLR 750 Adventure last summer tho 😂 It’s always better to have another bike **edit** - typo (I’ve)
Choice is the reason we are alive. More bikes more bliss.
I can feel your anger…….Give in to your hatred, pick up your Dyna and your transformation to the dark side will be complete!
OP has one bike. They buy one more. What do they have? Happiness. They have happiness!
Is the license plate personalized? If so, what does it mean?
It is. It’s my gamer tag basically. mentholdeathray and my bday 1988 But someone asked if it meant murder hail hitler or something like that
Yeah that's what I thought. neo Nazis use 88 to represent HH. Heil Hitler.
Go try one, after riding this beauty you will feel like riding a 1970 gas stove
How dare you??? Your out of the bonne-boys gang.
If I own both can i have dual membership?

Im over in the shoals. I still haven’t been but I want to take my wife one day on the bike
I've never owned a Harley but I've been really thinking about it lately. Wife might kill me if I bring a 3rd bike home lol Really been eyeballing the fat bob 114

You don’t have to be a stereotype just because you ride a certain type of bike.

Deleted removed, the answer to all one’s issues apparently 🤣
The rumble that makes panties crumble
So get both.
Then follow your heart and buy you the Toyota Corolla of bikes.
Haha that would be mine. The ole v strom.
Vtwin power 🤘
What’s the Toyota Corolla of bikes?
My buddies all make fun of Dynabros....
One to chill and cruise like a boat and one to actually ride ;)
Simpping for the oil leaking, motorcycle gang riding, racism driving, but only our parts, warranty voiding, good ol’ boy American motorcycle company

I like the Triumph Speedmaster from 2009 ish, those Thunderbirds are something nice also.

Harley riders are diverse from all walks of life and ethnicities. Jason Momoa ffs. But sure, divide & conquer for the elite as you do.
So tell me, what exactly is wrong with being a good old American Boy? Is this actually an issue for you? Yet Harley Riders are spreading racism right?
Nothing at all. But since you asked? Timp Harley tried to kill me but not reconnecting my fuel line correctly on my pan America. They treated me like shit. Now for clarification this was not sales theirs was service
So that’s a water cooled one. Lol, can’t imagine trading it for a Harley, totally different things
