But at least it's all...I was going to say practical, but functional would be a better description. I mean, who doesn't want a hundred hp barby camper to rip around in? A 3 axle kei truck works, damn well actually.
But this bike is just pure meme. It's barely ridable, he often dumps it, and very soon he will destroy that rear fender when those 46 inch off road tires do what they do, which is pick up rocks. It's got like a half inch of clearance, maybe.bht it also doesn't cover eh rear tire, so if he hits some mud his whole back will be covered in it.
It's completely ridiculous and impractical, which makes it awesome, but it's the most ridiculous because it has to be the least functional thing he's built.
Yeah I really question that rear fender. It's SO close to the wheel, even without rocks I wouldn't be surprised if it flexes on rough terrain and gets caught in the tread
I don't know about him. Could his riding issues be that he is not an experienced rider? Sure it has some technical issues, as you mention, but all in all, as big as it is, it looks sound. It should be rideable.
It’s designed to steer like a car.
It has none of the right steering geometry to work like an ACTUAL motorcycle so it will always tip over. The only thing keeping him upright is the massive tire contact patch.
I've been keeping up on the build and a few things make me not totally love it. I think the engine should be bigger... Not boss hoss level big bit at least Triumph rocket 3 big. Fuel tank needs to be bigger as well since I want to up the powerhouse. The mug guards/flaps to me so not look super efficient either. And I also hope he shields the engine better against road debris that thos tires will inevitably kick up.
Engine guard would be good, but with the gearing he chose he could move that thing (slowly) with a lawnmower engine.
And he said he knows these KTM engines and therefore uses them for all sufficiently small builds. A larger engine would also have stretched the whole thing, which is already as long as a standard car.
And custom bikes aren't my cup of tea either, but for show bikes like these fuel capacity is really unimportant. The way they shaped it around the air filter is a piece of art IMHO.
Oh I agree on the last one. Love to look of the current tank. And the bike overall... I just want more power and I'd actually ride that everyday lol. I mean... If I could legally.
Lol what do you propose other than a 1300cc motor with 190hp? That's twice as much as my Golf which feels pretty zippy at low speeds. The monster chopper is already heavy AF. I think they have the perfect engine for it. You just haven't seen them give it many beans yet.
But that has less power. A lot less. And its significantly heavier. And its facing the wrong direction. Don't even start with the torque argument. Thats what gear reduction is for. In the full videos it quite clearly has enough drive to easily spin that 46" tire.
With an unrestricted tune I think the rocket 3 would be more capable. Considering the rest, yes it's not th e right motor, but it's what I would rather have. I'm allowed to dream, Don't you shit on my dreams! :D
Triumph restricted the power because the drive shaft wouldn't survive the warranty (former triumph employee told me). No idea how much, but given its a very low revving (about the same as a car engine, so 7k rpm, lc8 around 10k)id guess around 20, 25 hp and a good chunk of torque. You could also remove emissions equipment on the lc8 and put on a custom tune so over 200hp are possible. But what does hp mean if you cant really drive it on the road anyway? At least i wouldn't want
A little more work and I think it would be pretty darn road worthy. I'd daily it... I mean imagine the calf muscles after daily riding that for a month lol
It’s been annoying for me to watch them ignore this project for months, and drop videos on other things. Like brother. They finished it I guess, but it’s kinda underwhelming and exactly what I thought it would be: nearly impossible to ride.
It needs training wheels or something lol
I love that he fully commited to asymmetry, compensating with every item he can put on the other side.
And that it actually can drive and turn under its own power without falling over is an achievement in itself.
I'm almost surprised the darkside naysayers haven't came out of the woodwork to complain about how that bike won't handle correctly unless it has motorcycle tires on it.
This thing is flawed from the start because it has none of the right steering geometry to get the bike to balance itself. It steers like a poorly made car, and it’ll always try to tip over.
This is by far the most ridiculous thing grindhard ever built.
Ethan's stuff is just ridiculous in general, but I agree.

So, say that we add a bit of rake to it. Would that work? At least the tires have a somewhat round profile.
I think the resistance from the hydraulic system would prevent any sort of fine movement of the wheel, even if the geometry was better.
You spelled "amazing" wrong.

aw, thanks for link

Looks like an LC8 in there. It's up around the top of the food chain in its class.

The Triumph Rocket 3 motor, 2300CC :D Come on now. Tim the Tool man Taylor would agree, MoAR POWER!!! \*grunts\*

The funny thing is that he weighed it and it's actually lighter than a lot of Harleys. That engine will do just fine.

Batman jealous

Still handles better than a HD
Yup, This was my starter bike before I was ready for a Road Glide.
He weighed it and it's actually lighter than some of the big baggers

To be fair, he did remove a LOT of rubber from those tires to give them proper shape.
Almost 😅
That looks basass
Some sound would be nice.
yes, but engine sound not tiktok sound tracks
Kinda reminds me of the Tumbler from Nolan's Batman trilogy
thats what the wife said
The motorbikest!
How the heck do the handlebars even work on that?
This is the sick-ass yellow bike from the race in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over.
Funny how many
That guy has way too much free time on his hands.
Agile as a brick.

Looks like someone made a valiant attempt at recreating the Batcycle from The Dark Knight Trilogy
This is so stupid. I want one!
A slow big wheel skateboard rules the world?
Probably handles better than a Hayabusa.
It will snap at 60kph

This is so fucking stupid. I’d like to see it off road or whatever it’s meant to do but it doesn’t look cool
You are entitled to your opinion, no matter how stupid, tasteless, edgy, or wrong it is. 🇺🇲
