It is, If you're looking for a mini-DH/Freeride park bike. Not if your day to day riding involves pedalling up hills for any sizable amount.

Yes if you only plan to ride at creek. But also, are these demo bikes? Then it is absolutely not worth that money.

BPearlman97

They’re last year’s demo fleet being offloaded for the new 2024 fleet. Creek is already open for the season so I’m sure they’re in a rush to get rid of these. It’s not a guarantee that last year’s fleet is trashed, but those bikes get abused at Creek.

Yeah that’s what I thought. I’d steer clear of them for $2500

Ex demo should be less than half price to be a good deal

MarioV73

The 2022's retail was $5,000. So 50% off for a 2-3 year old bike is a fair price, should the bike be in great condition. If the bike is trashed, then subtract from the $2,500 price what it will take you to get it fully operational with new/newer components, if you're performing the repairs/maintenance yourself and you're willing to live with any serious dings and scratches. In case you are not aware of what this bike is, it's a downhill bike with only 7 speeds (34t x 11-25t) not dialed for climbing. www.vitalmtb.com/product/guide/Bikes,3/Trek/Session-8-29-GX,33574

It’s probably a demo bike, I would 100% go look at it in person.
