Note that that mentions a car club, and in the UK you can get a discount if you're a member of the MR2OC (deets at https://mr2oc.co.uk/club-insurers.html) but you need previous experience with similar cars and NCB.
I'm paying 950 at the moment in a similar position to yours, the difference being 24yo, so I wouldn't really get your hopes up. The previous owner of my ride said a 19yo showed up before I did to buy without looking at the insurance quotes, well, had to walk away. Best of luck anyway and hope you find something cheaper than 2.5k.
Unfortunately at 19 you’re going to struggle with classic car insurance, much like modified vehicle insurance, most insurers want you to be either 21+ or 25+ with a few wanting atleast 2 years NCD. I was quoted 1.8k on a aw11 so decided to go for an sw20 in the end as it actually came out cheaper lol.

Just do some quotes on the comparison sites. I would imagine it’s going to be at least £800+, depending on where you live

May I recommend the insurer Bell, they often don’t come up on comparison sites but I’ve found them to be a lot cheaper than others
Try brokers like Footman James and Greenlight, they work with underwriters who don't show up on the comparison sites. Good luck, they're great cars.
