He can still play a decent 15-18 min vs certain matchup and seems to have become a good locker room vet. Seems fine for the Heat. Prob done after this though
He's not even coasting. Despite his age, he plays a crucial role on our team in the limited minutes he plays. He's a good shooter, rebounder, playmaker and his touchdown passes made a big difference in how the defense had to move in transition when he's on the court after a rebound. A lot of teams would kill for a K Love on their team, like the Cavs.
after the Cavs finished their rebuild and Love was still there I really thought he'd retire a Cavalier, which would be really cool for the only remaining champion, but then they waived him. Such a weird move, I'm not complaining though.
Our run in '23 last year would not happen without team love and Kevin Love. Honestly, he was arguably the 3rd most important player on our roster through the entire playoffs. I want to clown the Cavs for letting him go, but I gotta thank them for giving him to us for free.
He wanted out after JB wasn't getting him the minutes he wanted and the FO obliged. Would have been nice to hang onto him as a solid bench contributor.
Last year for the most part Love was neutral at worst. I can barely remember a time he's on the floor where I can't figure out the reason he's even out there. He might be giving up layups on defense, but I see him getting crucial rebounds and clutch 3's on the other end. He's always doing something of value when he's out there as long as you don't try and play him heavy minutes like he's still 5 years younger.
Ngl the time Love got hurt last season was the time around we started losing lots of games. He really was a huge part in crucial rebounding, full court passes and clutch 3s
Losing him and Josh Richardson from injuries really fucked up our chances to get a good standing for playoffs. J Rich was even getting back to a great rhytim right before it happened
Definitely. Combined that with Bam playing the 4/help D/roamer, it unlocked a lot of defensive gameplanning to make up for our lack of size.
Again, the same way we used Olynyk lol.
Dude is 35, hasn't been a star for about 5+ years now, and is still getting multi year deals. Complete opposite of some other older stars who fall off quickly.
Wait no I actually still like Klay as a player. I'm just saying it felt like he really quickly went from an all star caliber player to a guy who people think it would be a mistake if he were to be signed for more than the MLE. At the rate that he is declining, he may be another CP3 or Westbrook in a year or 2.
For the injuries he had it's honestly amazing he came back and won a chip. Nothing changes, Klay can play still hes almost 40 if he wants to. Klay on a vet min is alot diff than max Klay
Good locker room presence, spacing big man that still brings down boards and play-make from the post.
His athleticism is mostly gone but he’s just as good of a basketball player as he was.
He can play late into his 30s if he wants.
Love stepped into the leadership void Haslem left, for sure, and your comparison is good. He’s been absolutely the best guy we could have asked for, and I’m happy he loves playing for us as much as we love having him.
I hope we can get bigger news(I know we are not but whatever) but Love has been an absolute savage for us. When the Miami Heat would stagnate like swamp water offensively, Love would come in and literally be the main reason why we would score and play prettier. I'm happy he's back
Dude still getting paid

He almost always make the finals if he makes the playoffs, so that’s a pretty good bonus.
And to think once upon a time he spent the first like 8 years of his career being a good stats bad team guy
Coasting into retirement. Can’t not be happy for the guy :)

He’s been really good, I agree. He absolutely torches teams randomly and is never bad.

Would’ve been nice to see him come back after JB was fired. Good to see him thrive in Miami though
u underestimate how good he was in 23 playoffs
The old man has a lot left in the tank, he's been a blessing for the Heat
Yay
Huge for our locker room and a great mentor for Kel’el Ware and Niko and he can contribute on the court as well
Shit man, huge for our playmaking. He brought back a lot of big man playmaking looks that we’re huge for us when Olynyk was here.

J Rich honestly made me so sad. He was finally in rhythm, in a role that suited him (Spo loves combo guards), and was a key POA defender.
Also instrumental in shutting down Joel. He fronts him so well and isn't as easily bullied like other bigs

Bro never retiring at this point

Always has been said, as long as you can shoot, your gonna play for a long time
You would think, and yet klay...
Do you mean the guy that shot 40% from 3?
Wait no I actually still like Klay as a player. He doesn't play like those guys he could very easily just transition into a shooter only role.

Kornet AND Love resigning?! This is crazy so far!!
Tall White Guy market drying up QUICK
jordan moving to florida with the QUICKNESS
THIS IS WHY WE F5!!!!!
Been so good for us so I'm happy
The White Udonis Haslem.
Not the same situation at all. K Love produces on the court whenever available, no slant on UD
Love stepped into the leadership void Haslem left, for sure, and your comparison is good. He’s been absolutely the best guy we could have asked for, and I’m happy he loves playing for us as much as we love having him.
Excellent vet presence who can still have some solid post minutes off the bench. Good deal
Good deal
got our whale
I love this man
That’s Max Christie money
THANK GOD
Easiest signing of the year for the Heat
That is cheap for him
neato burrito
Was hoping we could snag him but not surprising good signing for the Heat
Love me some k love
Pretty decent. He’s been nice for Miami.
Man, Spurs should throw the MLE at him.
Excellent
I Love this man
He's been great vet for us tbh
I hope we can get bigger news(I know we are not but whatever) but Love has been an absolute savage for us. When the Miami Heat would stagnate like swamp water offensively, Love would come in and literally be the main reason why we would score and play prettier. I'm happy he's back
There it is .
Get that money!
sad wolverine
Heat fans, is it safe to say it’s better to have Love and lost than to never have Love at all?
I'm so glad we live in the timeline where Kevin Love won a ring :) Make me happy to know that fact. Sorta like how Dirk has a ring too. Great guys
Heat got their guy
He's gonna be the white Udonis at this rate
Better hope that’s a team option
$4,000,000 AAV isn't exactly a cinderblock on a salary table lol
Shit, any team in the league would take Kevin Love at $4M / yr.
Fuck the Heat and fuck Kevin love
Shit isn’t even news worthy lol Kevin love’s career has been shot
