You cannot call NBN. Can Telstra is that's your provider.

There's almost nothing to go on here. Is it plugged into a wall socket? Are there multiple sockets? Have you tried each one? Have you plugged it in correctly to the NCD? Have you used alternate cables etc. These are all things Telstra will ask

Silly_Person_55

Yes its plugged into thexwall socket, only one socket, yes its plugged in correctly, tried a few cables. I told the fil all that. I just hope it got through. He's the one who has to deal with Telstra.

Assuming in this picture the power LED is solid while the link LED is flashing this is a case where the NCD (the box you're looking at) cannot get a response from the DPU (public pit). You should call your internet service provider for this, however there are a few things you can do first which your provider -might- ask you to do anyways: 1. Is the power supply connected to a wall socket or a power-board? These NCDs need enough power to reach the pit and greet it, even if it has worked fine on a power-board before an ISP (internet service provider) will only be trusting that the wall socket is rated to what is needed so at the very least test it to a wall socket even if you intend to return to a power-board later. 2. Factory reset the NCD, there will be a small hole labelled 'reset' somewhere on the NCD. Press and hold a pin in for 15 seconds and give it a few minutes to reset. 3. Swap out the DSL/telephone cable connecting it to the wall for another, it's unlikely but not impossible that the cable has failed -even if you haven't touched or moved it.

Also you may in the middle of an unreported outage where the pit is currently down, even if it doesn't list on any outage report websites your provider may know more.

Could you at least have loaded the image the right way up?

Silly_Person_55

No, I didn't want to.

As mentioned you have to call your ISP & get a fault logged. They will get nbn to fix it. There should be 4 blue lights.

CardiologistNo5561

I recently had the exact same issue as your picture above. Nbn tech said that the pit in the street was flooded with water. He ended up soaking up the water and replaced the white NTD unit with a new unit. Haven't had any problems since.
