All I can advise is be present onsite and communicate with the tech to see what the issue is. If the nbn visit doesn't resolve the issue go to another provider that has good customer support base that know how to deal with problems like these. I recommend Aussie Broadband or Launtel.

You may think that Aussie Broadband know how to talk to customers, but that isn't true. Something too technical, like this, is the customers fault, even though it's proven to be external to their network.

I don't understand how the customer or the neighbour can help or hinder NBN resolving this... Unless its to beg the neighbour to stop vandalising the cables ???? It can be that the bundle onto private property . The person there at that property may believe it must be removed. It doesn't. Federal telecommunications act allows such violation.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve built a driveway or garden over the pit.

Kogan might not know what they are talking about, but at least the rep is organising a tech to attend, many others do not, or they say something like it'll take 3-4 weeks.
