Personally my view of this team hasnt really changed since maybe Kentucky at Rupp. This team is in a shooting slump at the moment which is concerning but who knows when or if that will end, you just have to ride the wave. It like every march team is gonna come down to matchups. If we get a heavy bruiser team like MSU and refs who let the game play, the later being fairly rare in March, we are in trouble. If we get any other team I feel fairly confident.
Agreed. Matchups are key and shooting above say 5% fg percentage! More specifically I would say we have to get out to a fast start with a relatively high 45% plus fg percentage for the first 10 minutes. We seem to always be good in the second half.
When we have looked really bad, it’s been a very physical game and we’ve come out ice cold and the refs basically allowed anything short of a concussion. See the Purdue, UNC, and Mississippi State games
