The day that came before this one, I saw someone say everything is in 4D already with 3 space dimensions and 1 time dimension. Still recovering from this revelation and it's implications on my destiny/fate.
That kind of makes sense... We perceive the universe in three dimensions and postulate that a four dimensional object could only ever have a single "3d slice" of it in view at one time. Well we know time itself has a past, present, and future. But we can only ever see one slice at a time: The present.
The passage of time is just three dimensional perceptions moving through the slices of a four dimensional structure.
I remember when this type of AI was in its earlier stages, it would consistently add a bunch of swirls and eyes everywhere with constant morphing. I saw an AI video of a frog years back and the most normal thing that happened was it turned into a Volkswagen van for a second.
I know this comment was made as a joke but I find it incredibly interesting how humans perceive AI created things. It's all about patterns and we recognize those patterns. That's all the AI does, it creates patterns based on what it was trained on, problem being that we currently don't know how to make it understand what its creating. For us humans it is something subconscious, something we can't reproduce in something that isn't human. We see a cow, standing on a field, and even if that cow moves into a supermarket we still recognize it's a cow. The AI, however, only recognizes the pattern of a cow in the field of green grass and cannot identify it outside of what it was trained to do
It's about assumptions, conclusions based on experience. And since we cant make AI experience reality the same way we can, we cannot teach it to think.

I imagine with enough money you can train models properly to create somewhat believeable porn scenes. Of course it would be quite repetitive because our current "AI" can't do anything new. But repetition is kind of the point in this case, isn't it.
The gymnastics you see here just happen because the model was trained poorly. It simply didn't have the information available it required to create what was asked of it. Its like trying to write a 3d game in a 2d game engine.

Our current "AI" models have the issue of making it very obvious that it just copies the same things and slaps a different coat of paint over it.
And if it doesn't have what you are requesting then it starts to get really creepy.

The coach has suspected something is "off" but eventually warms up to his "team". Eventually they learn to work together and the spirit of the USA compells them to go all they way.
The last competition is this video. As the world looks on in horror, the judges look on passively.... once the performance is over, there is a moment of dramatic music and a pause.... all of the judges hold up a board that says "10".
The crowd cheers, we cut to horrified Americans in sports venues suddenly breaking into applause, and the USA wins the gold!
It is later revealed that the Thing absorbed the Olympic committee and now just scores itself the best.
Roll credits.
Things like this make me feel like ai isnt the correct term. If it was an actual intelligence it would never make this. Its just a thing that creates shit based on input, theres no thought behind it.

This is why I’m not scared of AI yet. We still got shit like this happening. It’s gonna take a while for it to properly figure out how to represent humans as a concept. And for a fully sentient AI, it’s not even possible. The current storage capacity of the ENTIRE INTERNET, every last drive that can hold anything, still cannot contain the entirety of a single human brain. It’s just too complex. I think until storage advances are made, either in increasing the amount of data stored in the same space, or ever increasing sizes of storage, truly sentient and smart AI will be a pipe dream. That is if we can ever get over the hurdle of the companies that makes them putting some “interesting” restrictions into them.
