considering the new green tide detachment gives boyz a permanent 5++ with the possibility of rerolling saves of 1 makes the standalone kff mek a little redundant for the ways he's used the most. Painboyz in every mob, now.
Honestly that's my plan. I'll probably go with a smaller base and call him a baby Mek on foot unless I can find some gubbins to make him a new Big Mek on a 50. Adding a grot with a big gun should be enough.
The new big mek is confirmed 50mm base. Based on the leaked model, it appears to have options for power klaw/ drill for melee and kustom mega blasta or tractor cannon for ranged. He does have some kind of shock boost/ forcefield looking pack on his back as well.

Don't start some kind of primaris-greenskin madness here. Just as boyz from rogue Trader are perfectly acceptable as boyz, a big mek is always a big mek.

Of course the old guy is still a Big mek with friends, but competitively he's Smol Mek now.

Post him up on the highest piece of terrain during the game so he can watch you krump from The Warp.
Stick him on a 32mm base and use him as a mekboy, stick him on a 50mm base and use him as the big mek’s little brother, or use his legends profile.
