It'd probably be a giant waste of their time and money to engineer and implement.

FirmAppointment420

They would not do that. When I worked in IT distribution, I sat in the meetings when they were announcing their first Ryzen chips. they were fully aware that Nvidia gpu’s are the highest share. They would alienate themselves and lose their CPU market to intel. Total opposite of what they want, Hence why they allow Nvidia to Resize bar. They would want a much higher GPU market share before they think this

_eESTlane_

something APPLE would do xD

Gh3rkinz

It's not a crime, but it's pretty scummy. If they did this, I would probably avoid using their products.

Hattix

The actual question is "What if AMD make their GPUs work worse with Intel CPUs?" Now why the f\*\*\* would AMD do that?

multiwirth_

Why would they do this? Shitstorm incoming.

BetterCoder2Morrow

lol

kawasaki-sakura

I'd imagine they would get hit with some kind of antitrust lawsuits if they tried this. Making it work better with your own products is one thing, but deliberately making it worse when used with competing brands is scummy and just calling to be sued. It would probably tank their stock prices.

Megacarry

Yeah, let's just make our product worse for 90% of the market and push them to Intel.

zeus1911

AMD both parts already have a bonus, smart access memory = SAM. If you have Intel CPU and AMD GPU, you only get resizeable bar. Not as effective as SAM.

BetterCoder2Morrow

And this is objectively wrong :)

cndvsn

Most people with an amd gpu already have an amd cpu
