He got the last gig wrong. Youth Alive WA was the last gig in August of that year. People were told to take anything they wanted home as it was getting knocked down, only from the main area unfortunately. There was some really cool things (signed posters and memorabilia etc) back stage. A few people even managed to take home some of the seats! Most people just took bits of wall paneling and things like that as a souvenir.
It was old , obsolete. Could only hold 8,000 and stadium technology was moving ahead fast. To refurbush it for modern day events would have been expensive. RAC can hold 14 000.
My algorithm threw this up a few weeks ago, I hope this guy makes more things like this
I love that he shows a side of Perth that not a lot of people know
He's opened my eyes to things i drive/walk past every day. It's a really great channel.
Seconded. The channel is brilliant.
He already has made a lot of videos! Check under the profile page

Why did they demolish such a beautiful Perth icon?

A special place for me. I was lucky enough to play a support slot at the Entertainment Center a few years before it was knocked down.
I happened to have watched this a few weeks ago on YouTube. I followed it up with Perths tram history, it was very thorough and enjoyable
Looked way cooler than the squashed rubiks cube we have today
Been watching this dude for a few weeks. Really interesting content.
