That's short sighted. I get where you're coming from but you're saying that you think the organization should decide to go against a long MLB track record of a solid MLB hitter over a long career. They just aren't going to do that. I do think Stott has earned the playing time though. But Marsh is in fact way worse than Whit against lefties. Both now and historically.
Whit isn’t going to get sent down so the only way would be if he’s traded. He wouldn’t be a focal point of a trade but could be an extra piece that’s a part of a trade. He won’t be dfa’d like some people want lol.

Not worried about a #5 pitcher who won't get playoff starts. Eat Whit's contract; Kody's right there. But you've got to fix the Casty problem, because even a replacement-level player is a huge improvement.

5 games is not really a great sample size, but I suppose you could say he's slumping if that's your measure. He's struggled the last 10ish compared to just prior to that. But if you go back to the last 25 games, which includes the last 10 of course, he's been great.
