Lotad is too big, but I think that particular screenshot has them especially small, because none of the other frames I'm seeing from the anime show them being that tiny.
I don't imagine they'll do anything to change it tbh. I think it's an issue of how overworld sizes appear verses like the buddy screen.
Lotad looks much more reasonable sized on the buddy screen.
Another pokemon. That is absolutely gigantic on the overworld when it shouldn't be is Togepi.
I think also Lotad is just one of those Pokemon who se height is confused for a different dimension also the ratio of lily pad to body may have changed in the 3D model
i WOULD have posted the image i found on google but reddit is being absolute dick-cheese and spams error. but if you google pokemon go 50% zygarde buddy you should find a screenshot of someone's snake and it is horribly small

I can def agree with that. TPC is not always consistent either.
i've asked them to resize 50% zygarde for a while now. it is supposed to be a 4 meter snake, yet it is the size of a small child.
