You are talking about library import not manual import. Radarr can do that too (in fact it's the same menu path)
But in both cases that won't move or link any files, library import is for importing files that are already organised in a root folder into sonarr and Radarr.

Manual import works identically between sonarr and Radarr. Both require the show or film to be added first.

Wouldn't library import be better? It'll scan all the files. Match what it can, then he can manually correct the unmatched ones.
