I just turn mine on its side with the opening facing me. Keeps contam from falling on what I'm working on.

Next time just take a coffee can or something and heat it up with a torch and just melt holes into it.

If you have tools, you can get a hole saw and make perfect holes. Looks like my first box too lol, if you want to try and save it, get some big PVC fittings and stick em in the holes and duct tape them

Hot can works better as you don't have to deburr the holes after melting them.

Use drill in reverse if you do this, less likely to crack the plastic. Submerging the tub in warm water prior to cutting will also help to reduce its brittleness.

I wasn’t clownin on you. It should still work for a SAB. Just remember to keep it clean as possible inside; slow, controlled movements while working inside it to minimize any contaminants moving around. It def will cut down on the possibility of contamination

C'mon bro. Call it a $12 loss and get another one from walmart or target. Carefully mark the position and size of the holes for comfort after you set it on your worktable and imagine how your arms will be entering and working. Make the holes just large enough to fit through but not too large to restrict unwanted airflow. A heated can will push right through and save you the trouble of drilling and sanding. This hobby is all about being meticulous and trial and error is ok in the beginning. Still air box work will be the foundation of successful sterile inoculations and transfers which are essential for success. Start your journey meticulously and on the right path. Best of luck

Tape holes on both sides shut with big pieces of tape. Cut an x just big enough for you areas to slide through each hole.

Get some plastic sheet and duct tape. Tape around and and make hold that fit a hand. The top will work well with that. In the future, all that isn't necessary. Just flip the container upside down and let it hang a few inches over a table. You don't need holes in it.

Yeah, Makeshift will be fine, tape the holes up and cut two X in the tape. But as soon as you can, you should get your butt back to the store, buy another one, and either use a: Hole-saw(in REVERSE), or the hot can method.

Just tape up the holes to be smaller and you’ll be good
