If you want to start with the OG’s then the Sisters of Battle Omnibus by James Swallow is as good a place as any. It includes the first real sisters novel, Faith & Fire, as well as its sequel Hammer & Anvil. Both are excellent and the characters really grow on you (srsly, I NEED more Miriya and Verity)

Just finished reading Faith & Fire after reading Pilgrims of Fire. Faith & Fire is much much better

Bunisher

These books are also available as audio books. A great listen.

I've really enjoyed the short stories/novella's by Danie Ware. Follows the adventures and exploits of the main character Sister Augusta and her squad from The Order of the Bloody Rose. Relatively quick easy reads. Right now I'm reading her book The Triumph of Saint Katherine. Good stuff!

Seconded. I really enjoyed ‘A Rose in Darkness’ by Danie Ware. It’s not available in paperback yet, though. I had to audiobook it.

Commissar_Matt

Im listening to 'The Rose at war' just now, and despite a stellar performance by the VA, its not very gripping. Although not strictly sororitas, the celestine and greyfax novel is great as an audiobook. Our Martyred Lady.

https://www.reddit.com/r/sistersofbattle/wiki/adeptasororitasblacklibraryguide/ I don’t have any particular recommendation, but I’ve liked everything I’ve read by Danie Ware.

CommissarCorgi34

Pilgrims of Fire us a good one, even showing how the interact and inspire guardsman!

ZeKugel22

Our Martyred Lady, unfortunately not avaliable as a paperback, but still a great audio novel, or rather radio play. You get to follow Celestine the living saint and Inquisitor Greyfax on their adventures. Somehow got it for free on Amazon, which made it even better.

Mark of Faith by Rachel Harrison was the first (and so far, only) Sisters of Battle book I read. I greatly enjoyed it, especially considering I didn’t have to read any more books in a series. It’s a standalone novel

Saavedroo

I have read Celestine and Mark of Faith, and the latter is really solid !

CaptainJunky

I was interessted in reading Mark of Faith! Is it worth it?

Saavedroo

Definitely. It has great character développement and a very nice twist.

CaptainJunky

Thanks! Than I will read it!

FatDumbOrk

Danie Ware’s sisters books are great

Grungecore

If you really want to get into celestines character and what it means to be a living saint, the Celestine the living saint book is amazing. Made me an even bigger fan of her.

AnotherRockThrown

I think a good one is requiem inferno, its a more horror themed one focused on a separate order and some guards
