I *think* you should invite me over for dinner. Just my two cents though.

[deleted]

Two cents is a good deal but I’d hold off on your offers until there’s a finished product.

pisspantsing

[Starting the bid at two cents. Do I hear three?](https://imgur.com/a/BSUmHLy)

SquirrelHoudini

I'll double to 6 lol

BBQnNugs

I always like browsing the meat first helps with flavor!

pisspantsing

I was going for suuuuper easy today, but if I like it, I'll try this next time. Thanks! (Assuming you meant browning, I found the meat while browsing)

BBQnNugs

Totally meant browning, I also suggest doing the same recipe with pork, then getting a good hogie bun, some provolone, and taking some shredded pork, crisping it up, browning an onion and making a hogie sandwich next level.

pisspantsing

Sounds delightful! Thanks for the Nugs of info!

shannonkarr02

I love MS pot roast, the next night I make quesadillas with the left overs, adding beans and cheese and jalapenos, etc.

Klongon

Microsoft Pot Roast©

shannonkarr02

You'd be amazed what kind of technology Microsoft has come up with 😂

pisspantsing

Oh damn, now *that* sounds like a good idea!

shannonkarr02

You have to try it

jewrome215

I do the same thing! It’s like MS pot roast birria

Comfortable_Chef_958

Put in the Nibs!!

pisspantsing

That makes me feel uncomfortable, chef.

frijolita_bonita

Nibs?

Comfortable_Chef_958

The candy beside the pot, I was not serious

frijolita_bonita

facepalm

Comfortable_Chef_958

Je ne pas?

thunderpuppy18

I will suggest this, you can use 8 oz beef broth instead of the butter. The roasts I buy always have enough fat, I feared adding more fat to the dish.

pisspantsing

That is a fair point!

Aev_ACNH

WHERES THE JUICE? The Pepperocini juice!

PalpitationOk5726

I have tried this before and it turns out great, I'm sure yours will too. My next experiment is to try it with chicken thighs possibly.

bad_toe_tattooes

I’ve never used beef and have only used chicken thighs. It’s a hit in my house. I probably make it twice a month. I say go for it!

computerwyzard

What would you call this with chicken? Can you share your recipe?

[deleted]

put some potatoes in the crock!

pisspantsing

Perhaps next time! I was going to make my famous red mini garlic mashed potatoes this time around!

Former-Cupcake8478

Try adding caramelized onions in place of the onion soup mix and removing the stems from the pepperoncini. I did that last night, and then chopped the pepper onion mix at the end and added it to the meat. Best one so far!

pisspantsing

Thanks for the tips! The recipe I was following today (posted replying to another commenter above) did not call for onion soup mix, but ranch mix and au jus mix. Also, this is my first time trying it out. I will post updates!

pisspantsing

[Update! It's delicious! Extra bonus: my wife loves it!](https://imgur.com/a/BSUmHLy)

Hairyducttape

Hairyducttape

Thank you!

pisspantsing

I added the optional carrots at the 6-hour mark. I'm glad I did. They were a nice touch!

Gitsome99

What's that brown powder?

[deleted]

au jus gravy mix

pisspantsing

Confirmed!

Normal_Ad2311

Yum, let us know how it turns out!

pisspantsing

Will post updates!

vikmomma

You’re gonna love it!

_softgh0st

Yum!!

Catfish_Mudcat

No luck needed, you're going to be just fine.

BodyBagSlam

I was thinking the same. This requires merely time and nothing more. On the plus side, I’d say it’s foolproof.

DznyMa

You will not be disappointed!

Taychees81

How did it turn out?

truecrimefanatic1

It's going to be so good! I am making it with chicken tomorrow!

amiathrowaway2

May the road rise up to meet you.....

HereLiesConnor

Great meal. I’ve found the butter to be too much though as someone else mentioned.

[deleted]

Hope it is delicious!

dustbin-account

What is the brown powder at the bottom??

amiathrowaway2

My guess? A beef broth of some sort. I use a pack or two of lipton onion mushroom soup mix in mine.

pisspantsing

It was a packet of au jus seasoning as per the recipe!

dustbin-account

Ah I see. It kinda looked like chocolate milk powder haha but that makes a lot more sense. It looks great!

frijolita_bonita

I’m too late but Good luck, how’d it turn out?

newfoundlaker

Need an update and pics!

ajmtz12

I made this and was the only 1 in the household that liked it. if I were to-do it again I would not add the peperoncini jar juice as the main complaint was it was too vinegary
