This is why I moved my brokerage funds back to Robinhood. Both traditional account and Roth IRA. Still use SoFi for banking, but their UI is clumsy and cartoonish. They need to get serious about it. They need to fire Jeremy Rishel.
Zero complaints on the UI. I think it works pretty well and I love the notifications when a payment has been charged to my card.
Compared to other banks’ UI SOFi is better. I have BofA, Wells, JPM, TD, & USAA. Honestly SoFi is probably 2nd to BofA in terms of ease of use.
None of them allow trading in app either.
Sometimes I get the feeling people like to complain.
It’s bland and clunky, many times when I look at my 1W and 1M charts it’ll look completely flat even despite 20% gains in a day. Whatever they’re doing with the charts needs serious help so it appears consistent and doesn’t flatten randomly
Edit: other than that I’m pretty happy with it. Lol
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. It is an all in one app that has been waiting for its bread and butter student loans to come back. It’s survived the pandemic and moratorium and has kept its promise to pass on savings to members in forms of APY. Sure I understand you want improvements but it’s working and folks are continuing to direct deposit. One major update that could jeopardize trust if gone wrong is not worth it until we are fully operational
Can you be more specific? Which apps would you model after? Which portions of UX are clunky or feel outdated to you? Employees crawl these forums for feature requests so the more specific you can be the better the outcome (and the more likelihood you'll get traction).
Agreed. Hopefully one day we can get to a robinhood level of simplicity and user experience

The UI is so odd. They're supposed to be the hip online bank that cares about you. Yet, the design appears like this:

It just seems so outdated and archaic to me. Where's the cool factor? I expect much more from a modern tech company.

Looks fine to me.

I actually like it, but whatever, cool

Agree. It's fine. Don't piss off old people (who have a lot more money) trying to be cool and more complicated than it needs to be
Cool and simplicity should be one and the same. Catering to old people that have stopped learning is not a good business decision.
Their app and website crushes most others IMHO, not sure how much better/"hipper" it could be.
Modern mobile banking has a very low bar when it comes to design. SoFi is just barely above that bar. It could be sooo much better.

I've got no complaints on the app design tbh. The layout feel pretty intuitive imo.
To me the User interface is bland and unintuitive.
is there another bank you can use that’s more cool?
I know it's mainly a mobile banking app bank... But their website is horrendous.

As someone who uses the app mostly for conventional checking/savings management, I have no complaints.
+1. I don't have any issues with it other than a bit of spam. Experience itself is simple and all in one place.
I disagree. The app desperately needs to be cool.
We need to gamify it
Isn't that exactly what the sofi points stuff is all about?
pls no
This coming from someone that is the complete opposite of cool
Ouch : )
So like, more memes or something?

I couldn't agree more it needs to have a more modern tech webull like ui
Hoeger about to post a tweet from Noto saying “we’re working on it” as if it’s news lol
