There is one Aetherian ship in the next promo/infinity vessel. I (assume) it's the pyramid, but there has been other concept art for Aetherian ships, and since the next episode focuses on another captain they may have a different one for it 🤔
Yur not thinking like a Ferengi, Cstore is good money for them but gambling boxes are a fortune for them. They go by the rules of acquisition, not what's a better deal for us, but what's more profitable for them. Which I'd be cool with if they were at least fair in how they dropped ships but they barely drop Cstore ships, unless u count the big package deals.
Wouldn’t we all? But lockboxes are here to stay, STO couldn’t sustain itself without them. If the game was ever going to change its monetization strategy significantly, the ship has sailed.
The earliest a Breen lockbox could drop is January 2025 and at that point it will likely be DECA's first Lockbox in full control of the game.
Right now Cryptic and DECA will be making a list of thing that could be made in to something.
They will not start working on it until at least August/September before they start the designing process as they are would be only just working on the September Lockbox right now as part of the Fall content drop.
if anything Deca will give us a Breen playable race, and a Breen Starter Pack that is $300 with account unlocks for all the Breen ships along with some gear and costumes

Normally I'd bet good money on that being exactly the case. But considering the scale of the Breen Juggernaut *dwarfs starbases* and is only really comparable to the Voth *Fortress Ship* used *as the map* in The Breach, I suspect we won't be getting that particular ship. And so far as I'm aware (because I gave up trying to suffer through The Burnham Show after the last season, I'm sick and tired of the only character on DSC getting the spotlight also being the most unrelatable, emotionally-unstable looney to ever hold the rank of Captain in Starfleet), we haven't gotten sufficiently good looks at the smaller ships for them to be in a Lockbox. So it's possible, but they need a ship for the hook. And I will eat my nonexistent hat if they add the Breen Juggernaut as a playable ship.
They can only do so much scaling down before massive portions of the ship look wrong. You can only compress an image so much before the details on it - the kind of thing fans will *want* to see - will be impossible to spot, or even *include*. If I remember right, a couple of the scaled-down ships had small problems along that lines (though, in fairness, I'm not *sure* on that), but it would *certainly* happen with that thing, considering that (from the scale of it I've seen in screenshots) it could *fit the Federation HQ Starbase inside of it*. We've literally never had a ship need so much scaling-down, even the Universe in proper scale is only 3.2 kilometers long. It's impractical in the extreme.
There is a random Aetherian ship being put into a lockbox. Literally, nobody knows what it is except for it's name. So it's possible for a Breen ship to be put in as well.
Section 31 ships, 32c ships, several version of the Discovery itself, multiple missions and arcs based on Disco lore. Obviously "other" stuff seems like more in comparison because STO is much older than Discovery. There was 8 years of STO content before Discovery even existed.
When you compare it to how long the old shows have existed it's actually a huge percentage. The other shows have been around for several decades, Discovery has been around for half a decade and already has so much content in the game.

Could be. Since the Aetherian ship will be shoved into the infinity lockbox they'll probably go to disco again for the next themed box.
What's that about the Aetherian ship? I was really hoping it'd be an event reward.

I really want the 32c Federation rifle. I doubt it's gonna have the stretching ability, but still.
I'd rather they put stuff in the store than the gamble boxes.

With very few exceptions, if it isn't a main faction ship, it won't end up on the C-Store.

Imagine playerbases advocating for more content locked behind real money gambling
It is called conditioning.

They’ll scale it down. Just like they did the Styx.

Definitely gonna be a money ship.
I'm certain of it.
Only if it’s a full size breen disco season 5 dreadnought
it'll be downscaled just like the Emerald Chain juggernaut, it's literally too big for the game
I thought they said they would prefer doing redesign than just downscaling, hence why we got the eye of destiny ascension for baby V'ger
I don’t care, full scale or nothing Same with the whale probe and iadon
With the release of the chonker that is the Assimilator, anything's possible lol
I am really hoping for Breen ships somewhere other than Phoenix Epic tokens... ....
There is a random Aetherian ship being put into a lockbox. Literally, nobody knows what it is except for it's name. So it's possible for a Breen ship to be put in as well.
Breen has often been a go to for the Winter Holidays. Be nice to see those items end up there. But I seriously doubt it.
More Breen holiday ships coming?
I still rather have the 2259 starfleet uniform from strange new world's at the moment
Very little Discovery content has been seen in STO, so it's unlikely to happen.
Is this a joke?
Compare it to other content, it's very little on comparison.
Section 31 ships, 32c ships, several version of the Discovery itself, multiple missions and arcs based on Disco lore. Obviously "other" stuff seems like more in comparison because STO is much older than Discovery. There was 8 years of STO content before Discovery even existed.
Again, when compared to other content, it's a small percentage.
When you compare it to how long the old shows have existed it's actually a huge percentage. The other shows have been around for several decades, Discovery has been around for half a decade and already has so much content in the game.
It's how percentages work, you count up all the context, and compare by the percentage of the context. It's not rocket science.
